I think your question is as dumb as my assumption on the TE suspension. Yes, I understand what leaf springs are. My suspension is unique to the model I drive and I was simply trying to help out and regardless to the fact it doesn't have leaf springs, the air bags are still the solution to this issue. Did your comment help anyone?

Hoping it helped you learn that your "pro" is no different than the rest of the 5th gens. Your suspension is not unique, only your shocks and front coils. We can buy those overpriced shocks too. I wasn't sure if you either didn't know what leaf springs were, didn't know that 5th gens didn't have them, or just felt like mentioning a suspension that was irrelevant to the situation. I figured I'd start at the bottom and ask if you knew what they were and ever bothered to look under your 4runner to see if you had them. Don't get mad at me because you said something stupid.

The funny thing here is you think your response wasn't just as stupid. You have already altered your suspension I see, good for you! I don't feel the need to do that to mine because I bought a rig that does what I need it to do now stock. I can now just hold off until my warranties run out and the suspension I have wears out before I need to alter mine. I just paid mine off instead. I don't get mad at keyboard warriors. I am here to try to help others and the airbag recommendation is helpful.

Another TRD Pro owner thinking that his 4runner is that much more different than a TE or other 4runner. I'm glad not all TRD Pro owners have that mentality.

Just to make things clear, altering your suspension will not void your warranty unless there's a failure they (Toyota) can directly link to the change in suspension.

I brought my fancy TRD Pro into the dealer with my ICON suspension to get a re-alignment after some tweaking, besides asking a few questions they did NOT have any issues with doing the work, or ever bring up the possibility it voided my warranty.

I've gotten to the point where I just hand wash problem areas like bird droppings or sap so they don't become an issue. It rains too often to bother much more.

I changed my oil the other day and while under there I greased the drive shaft, etc. I noticed that my oil pan and the transfer case oil pan are leaking around the seals. Seems minor, but the truck is young (16k miles). I'm taking it into the dealer where I purchased it to get the seals replaced and fluid changed and I'm nervous about 2 things: will they warranty it (they damn well better!) and will the work be done correctly. I have little faith in Toyota mechanics in major metropolitan areas such as D/M/V.... we'll see and I'll report how it goes. Going in this Saturday.

Yea, my point is not so much that I am not going to change the suspension because of the warranty. I was saying more that that I am still under warranty and just want to leave it alone until it's run out. I am already at 10K miles, bought it in April, so I am guessing in a year it will be out of warranty. That for the tip though, even though I was aware of this, I am sure others reading this might not be. Thanks.

Seems like you want to be liked more than you have common sense to assume that people that drive a certain model are in anyway similar, some or all, either way. You know nothing about me.
