Well. After much ado I finally got the bumper installed. Still have some details to work out, like what I'm going to do with the open space below the upper grille, square away the lights and remove the washer fluid reservoir/ install the new one and tidy all the bits up etc, but here it is for now. Not great pics. Need better angles outside of the garage.

That space is screaming for an 20" or 30" Rigid SR light bar...

Does this bumper affect the washer fluid reservoir??? For the life of me I can't remember.

^ Ya. I think a lightbar is a good idea. I originally thought that just the one I put in the winch space would be sufficient, but who am I kidding? Of course it's not enough.
It doesn't really effect the reservoir per se, but it's now completely exposed and definitely going to be destroyed in short order. There's a 2 gallon kit that [MENTION=104049]marshal[/MENTION] developed with expedition one. It goes in the second battery space up by the firewall on the passenger side. For $210, I need to pick it up.

It actually goes where your air pump is, in between your air box and pass headlight. Your air pump gets relocated.

installed the union on the diff and ran some fuel line up to the gas filler and just put the original breather from the diff on it and used some hose clamps.

Couple of zip ties and about 15 minutes and I was done.

Really helps if you drop the spare when doing this.

Replaced front brakes, pins, and rotors.............26,489 miles :wtf:

Note to self, lubricate slide pins twice a year :dammit:






To be honest, being the first runner I've owned I was unaware of the pin issue. Two years after purchase noticed uneven wear on pads, cause, corroded pins. Replace and lubricate pins, continue to drive runner (another year an a half) until pads were completely worn out. Oh well, live and learn.

been a rainy weekend but did get to install the sliders on Saturday. took 3 hours solo at a fairly leisurely pace, having already laid out all parts and tools the night before. floor jack and tips from the forum helped everything go rather effortlessly. love these sliders, very sturdy and function great as side steps as well

Whilst contemplating how I am going to install my rock lights and move all my light control over to a bussmann RTMR... I took a chance and did an massively extensive overhaul to my fairlead license plate holder I had been contemplating it for quite some time.

The straw that broke the camels back? I lost my license plate (later found) because some clutz bumped into it in the parking lot and broke the POS Maglite clips. I replaced the brittle junk azz Maglite clips with some NiteIze (way mo' better material), doubled them up, and added a safety cable. Beat that shiz suckerz :naughty: :banana: :der:

Oh and reminisced about desert trips and my old plain jane 3rd gen
