I finally got my Dad to join the Toyota family. That 4.6L V8 is quite nice, and I'll admit, I'm a little jealous. Still love my 4R though, especially with the new tires.

Got some new shoes for the 4Runner. Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 275/70R17. Liftless for now, brake dive is much improved, a bit of a heavier feel on steering wheel but nothing to complain about. Now, to get them dirty....

I've got about 5k on mine and love them so far. The sidewall is pretty beefy. I'm running a 255/80/17

That's for a '15 SR5, but they should be the same as a '16. Front and rears are different so you should have 2 of each model number. I was able to get the $277 price mentioned.

I based off of Toytec and TotalAutomotive...I'd confirm that 2015 and 2016 are the same, just to be sure.

They fit just fine. If you check out the TRD intake thread there are a few 2014+ who documented the install. I also have this installed on my 2014.

Made a pre-Thanksgiving beer run down to Kane Brewing Co. (Ocean Twp NJ). Turns out I had an Igloo iceless cooler/fridge from when I had my Xterra (predecessor to my 2003 4Runner). Worked like a charm in the new 4Runner...kept the growlers nice and cold. Have better pics but my iPhone images always come thru upside down on this site...even after rotating them...oh well. Cheers! :beer:

One of my biggest complaints about the 4Runner is the painted rear bumper. It looks nice, but from a practical perspective it annoys the s#*t out of me to have to baby a bumper to avoid getting chips, dents, scratches, etc. Between my dog's velociraptor-esque talons and stumps (ok, my fault for not seeing that one!), kegs, and errant carts (#firstworldproblems), the rest of the rig looked great except for the bumper. Hell, I've even gotten used to seeing my desert pinstriping but my bumper still pisses me off... but I digress. I've been thinking of what to do, since a new/badass rear bumper set-up is out of the question, and a few months ago my buddy Monstalined the entire interior of his new Jeep and has a gallon left over... But before I committed to something that permanent, I went to my new old friend, Plastidip, for advice.

The lines were pretty crappy, but it at least gave me an idea of what a painted bumper would look like. I didn't want the cheap plastic-y look, which is what it looks like now. But I may be OK with Monstaliner... I'm going to give it some time and see if it grows on me. While I was at it I tried plastidipping the left side wheels, and I am very happy with the results! The wife was NOT a fan of the idea, she's seen Jeeps with plastidipped rims and didn't like them, but even she said she liked the look... Again, I'm going to see how they hold up and then I'll probably get them anodized for the long run. Going to put on new shoes tomorrow, BFG AT KO2's (275/70r17), so we'll see if the plastidip holds up before I go for the right side. For now I'm rolling like Harvey Dent!!
