I got to remove the intake manifold off my brand new,8000 mile 2015 4runner in 10 degree weather and splice/resolder the wires to my #4 cylinder fuel injector plug...because a frigging rodent of some kind thought it was warm up there,and the new soy based wire sheathing is tasty. NOT covered under warranty."Environmental damage". Dealer wanted $569 to do the job... $50 for some Honda Rodent Tape and about an hour and half of work. Wrapped every exposed set of wires I could see on the top of the motor. So, my Denver area bro's...if you dont have some of that tape, run to the Honda dealer and buy some Rodent proof tape.

If you're not setting spring traps + peanut butter, all the tape in the world will not keep mice out of your vehicle. Fix the cause, not the result.

replaced driver side door belt molding and rear hatch belt molding after i scraped off the melted rubber from the previous belt molding.

did it all with help from this awesome thread:

also put in Osram CBI bulbs in my retrofitted headlights. they are pretty! way better than the morimotos! :thumb3:

Got my Gobi rack and ladder on. Was pretty easy, but did have an issue with a bolt and silicon locking nut. All worked out though, Lowes had what I needed. The hardest thing was unpacking it all. That was no joke!

Bought a 40" LED light bar from a local guy. He has a small business selling LED light bars. I found him on craigslist. He said the boards are Cree and the casing is made by the manufacturer he gets them from. They have a 2 year warranty. I paid $170.00. It came with a wire harness that included everything needed to wire it, although I haven't wired it yet because I don't know how I should do. I have to do a little research on it first. I took a couple pics of all that it came with.

Ugh! We have had that problem with squirrels in our work parking lot, so I am paranoid about where I park. It got so bad that our landlord decided to put out traps. Of course, since this is in the People's Republic of Boulder County, the squirrels trapped were to be humanely located to a free range area (not kidding!).
How much tape does 50 dollars get you? I've got some heavy gauge wiring under the hood for my ham radios - it might be worth it to wrap some.

Mothballs in a porous bag (most rodents don't like the smell) and leave your hood open enough that light can get in (most rodents don't like the light) or better keep it lit with a drop light or some fancy led strips.

A squirrel did $1200 worth of damage to my Isuzu Rodeo many years ago. I had it fixed. 3 weeks later the SOB did it again!!! :50cal:

Found out they don't like mothballs. I had a small cloth bag hanging in my engine compartment after that. No more problems, and you could never smell anything from the cab.

Just out of curiosity, how come you didn't just buy a rigid light or some other kind of known brand? You could have gotten one for less than what you paid the local guy for, and from a reputable company.

Seriously, I need to stop making numeric errors on my post. yesterday I said I have 585/70/r17 size tires. I paid $170.00 for them.
