Thanks, I did the drive in one straight shot. Left at 3:30 AM...because I hate myself apparently. Left Oregon during torrential rain till I got to Ashland, then white out conditions from snow, then from Yreka to Weed, CA we had winds of up to 65mph, so strong I had to pull over because it was honestly rocking the truck sideways to the point I almost pooped myself. Then the bay area was beautiful.

Left is my mom's Prius. And yes, snorkel photos on January 6th!

The old truck is finally done....time for a clean slate.

I will say the old truck rides better then the new one, but the new one has better sound proofing. Already getting grilled about various boxes showing up daily...."look honey....got you some 12 volt combination plug/USB outlets...just what you've always wanted"!.....she's already planning my death...:whoo:

It looks like s good match, but the rear tint is 27%. I've metered it. That's hard to match but 20-30 is close. 30 is probably best considering the front windows are actually slightly tinted factory - 75%. 30 over that gets you about 26%.

Ugh! We have had that problem with squirrels in our work parking lot, so I am paranoid about where I park. It got so bad that our landlord decided to put out traps. Of course, since this is in the People's Republic of Boulder County, the squirrels trapped were to be humanely located to a free range area (not kidding!).
How much tape does 50 dollars get you? I've got some heavy gauge wiring under the hood for my ham radios - it might be worth it to wrap some.

LOL Not as much as it should for $50! Although, in my line of work,Ive seen a $400 roll of tape. The roll is a little larger than a standard electrical tape roll,and about the same thickness.

Mothballs in a porous bag (most rodents don't like the smell) and leave your hood open enough that light can get in (most rodents don't like the light) or better keep it lit with a drop light or some fancy led strips.

Found out they don't like mothballs. I had a small cloth bag hanging in my engine compartment after that. No more problems, and you could never smell anything from the cab.

Squirrels did about as much damage to my dad's ford. Weeks after the repair did so much damage that the insurance co. totaled the car [an older escort]. Dad was retired and the car could sit for a week between trips so the rodents had a lot of time to do their damage.
