i have yet to see pics of what the top looks like with the full mesh platform under the removable cross bars + sunroof opening... thanks!

That's my dream mid-life-crisis vehicle pair for after the kiddo's are grown. A Miata (or similar-sized roadster convertible) for commuting and the mountain twisties plus a 4Runner for winter driving, hunting, and exploring off-pavement. I've driven part of the Dragon in my 4Runner (took Parson's Branch road out of Cade's Cove). I'd love to go back with a sportier vehicle.

i had read the rack stood 8" tall but your pic shows 7.25", small difference but potentially enough to make or break fitting in the garage with a small lift. thanks for your help

i guess ill edit this post to add some poor quality pics of last nights little project. i saw members had added some red 3/4" shackles, so i jumped on the bandwaggon and ordered 3 of those.
slipped a bungee behind the RCI filler plate to hold the shackles in/up out of the way/mitigate any clanging around as they have room to wiggle.
when the shackles are released the bungee has enough tension to grab either end of the filler plate, and sits snugly in the stress relief grooves on the lower bend of the plate.

I was pretty surprised to see that we still had snow at the higher elevations on the trail (47mi). I was even more surprised I actually made the meet given we met at 7am out in the desert on New Years Day (after watching my Sooners throw up on themselves)

I'm actually just moved to Hollywood from California and was wondering the same thing. I think parts of Big Cypress (about an hour west) have off-road designated areas, but you need to take an online course, get your vehicle inspected and pay for an annual pass to use their trails.

Today I washed the 4Runner only to have the wonderful, salty south Florida air rain on it an hour later while picking up the kids from school.

Nope sorry that aint no cell antenna, thats actually for my 2 way radio . I wanted a discreet antenna on my t4r. Lets just say its being used for work.
