I forgot to add, I have purchased Air Lift 1000 today with Hella Supertone Horns this morning.

Installed the horns, pretty easy took me 30 minutes in the cold here up north !

Also got myself a Red D-ring , going to do some all out black/red mix this summer once I move in the new house ( WITH a GARAGE ! ) lol already told the wife nothing gets in the garage except my crap. She can have everything else in the house.

Brand new in construction going to be ready in June. Can't wait.

Been struggling the the HAM mount myself. For now I have a older Yaesu and will use it on a bean bag and a mag mount antenna while stationary and use a hand held while mobile. Did not want to drill a hole in the roof of a 2016 trail with less than 500 miles on it. Thought about mounting the mobile direct to the top of the dashboard but again could not drill the holes in a brand new rig. Did an in dash mount with my previous Yukon and loved it. But it looks like you did the right thing with the detachable. May have to go that route. Ham Radio Outlet here I come!

The hood of the 5th gen supports a "trunk lip mount" NMO base like a boss. No holes.

I thought about putting my G23 in the same place, but you have to be a contortionist to reach the thing.....if your a lefty it makes sense.
