Got the windows tinted on the wife's mall crawler. Put 5% over the stock tint on the rears and 20% on the front 2. Thank goodness for rear-view cameras. If anyone is looking for a shop in the Bay Area, check out Shawn @ Superior auto tint & detail in Fairfield. He did an awesome job and he used 3M carbon tint on the windows so both AM and FM reception are unaffected by the tint (not to mention the lifetime warranty agains fading/bubbling)! I made the mistake of going with a cheaper deal on my dodge magnum and completely lost radio reception after the tint job. Overall, couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.

Here in CA, anything over nothing on the front windows is "illegal". I love the look and function and I'm willing to eat anything that comes as a result. All of my previous vehicles have had the same tint scheme and I haven't been bothered too much by the pandas. I hate night driving and having any sort of light shine through the rear or side views and the tint definitely negates any of that.

Told my wife I would not be buying anything else for the truck in exchange for agreement to purchase a new mountain bike. Don't even think she has noticed the pile of boxes in the garage awaiting installation, win.

BFG KO2 from Ebay deal arrived to my work place, so I put them in T4R trunk (for now) and hauled home. Now I need to find some time to call American Tire to schedule the installation. I'm not in hurry as original Duelers are still good for at least few thousand miles, it's just KO2 look darn good :rockon:
The Ebay deal was hard to pass on: $676 for all 4 tires (stock size, C-load). So here it is: a cute pile of fresh smelling rubber.

my 2cents: i have found my dogs have a hard enough time seeing out of the factory tinted rear windows as is, and when they can't get a good view that's when chaos erupts as they try to overtake shotgun.
So i opted just to run 35% over the front factory tint and leave the back alone for their sake, but man would i love to limo it out.

got a Life Hammer (seat belt cutter/window hammer) for the 4R and my gf's ForesterXT. after totaling my previous vehicle and having to kick my way out of it I felt these would be good things to have in case of emergency, esp with her driving 80 miles/day across Houston to/from her current job site.
1st pic i included because the mounting bracket is very difficult to properly tighten. since the door-well panel is only ~1/8" thick it's hard to get it anchored down properly and doesn't leave much thread sticking out the back end. solution was to slap on 2 M5x.8 nuts with a lock washer in between so i could get a wrench around it for some leverage to tighten down.

Don't you think if you were in an accident (especially a side impact) that hammer would fly out of that clip anyway? Maybe a better place would be inside the center console.
Not trying to be a jerk, just an observation...

I agree and will likely revert to doing just that. the clip is metal and the hammer grip is rubber so it takes pretty decent force to dislodge it, but I'm not convinced it would stay put in a major accident.

Yes, two orders one after the other. 438 dollars for 2 tires and 100 dollars off each time during check out. Coupon field opens after PayPal was selected (not paid yet). Strange enough the discount was shown at Paypal page so each buy was 438 total paid by 338 taken from my credit card and 100 was funded from "paypal discount".
All tires (two orders) arrived together, and was one invoice from discount tires showing total 876.
676 is not the normal price as anything I can find here (local or on line) there is tax or shipping added. So any other deal was around 900 installed ( or more).

Makes sense but they've already had my car for an hour now! We usually roll the window down for her anyways, even when it's raining it's cracked a little bit. She'll be fine, she needs to learn to stop being so spoiled anyways :blabla:

That about sums it up... Wish I knew I needed to hit a certain amount of replies before making my own thread but anyways, I will be posting pics on here and throw up some links to a couple YouTube videos, I definitely will be posting installs for the suspension parts.
Currently my '15 TE has just a few things done to it... I linex'd the front and rear silver trail bumper pieces, put spider trap wheel spacers, a Toytec spacer lift/level kit 2.5", and I picked up some sr5 rims from a '13 to use as a spare set of street wheels for long road trips... I'm currently riding on them until I get mine back from powder coating. I've attached a current pic to this post
