I'm going to go with their intended use is off-road, and they mount in the fog light position.

Indeed. Baja Designs doesn't offer any DOT-approved or FMVSS certified lights. As far as I understand, they are not legal for on-road use.

Though, Baja Designs indicates that the quality of their products far exceeds those required by whatever .gov agency. I wouldn't doubt that.

Pretty much the gist of it. The reality is that forward facing 'driving lights' should have the same discretionary use as your high beams do. On the freeway in commuter traffic, don't use 'em. Unlit 2 lane road, no traffic in sight, go for it. That's really what it boils down to. And it's definitely not just a bro thing, there are plenty of people here in the Bay Area that believe a 6k HID kit in a 90's Honda Civic is a good idea.

Got an alignment done today since I installed 2.5" coils and Camburg BJ UCA's last weekend. Was able to get the caster to 3.5 and 4.0 and the rest to spec. It's pulling to the right a bit, which the tech said if happened he would have to reset the zero position for the steering assist centering. Weird that I don't think I've heard this mentioned in all of the alignment threads.

I also ordered a set of Alpine 6.5" Type R components for the front and a pack of Noico sound deadener for the doors.

I've only seen it done on a 3rd Gen many years ago on the old 4x4Wire forum. Gadget from URD had bought it at one point.

Actually I went to Jerry at NY tinting and Film in Plainview.

But Richie and Richie JR have done the lift work. Phase 3 this summer, Kings replacing the Clunky Billy's and TCF LCA's Wont be as long travel as yours but lets say Mid-travel.

Fun times getting my 4-Runner dirty at Anza Borrego today. I learned that my Trail has minimal ground clearance from the factory and that my skid plate is on its last leg. Time for belly skids and suspension.

Got my OEM TE hood painted and installed then checked out a local Toyota truck meet. I was only 1 of 2 5th gens there. My Prinsu rack comes in next week!
