What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

First post despite being a member for several years since buying my 2012 TE new. Thanks for all the tech tech info that has helped me decide which mods to do. Bought 5100s 3 years ago and finally installed them, set the fronts at 0.85. Made a huge difference, wish I hadn't let them sit for so long. Yesterday got some 275 70/17 Goodyear MTRs and like them so far but haven't been off-road. Got a few more things like do the rear locker in 4hi mod and the rear view camera switch. Planning a trip out to Colorado to do the Black Bear Pass if it opens early enough this July before I start my new job. I did it once before in 1999 in my old CJ-5 and it was a piece of cake but that Jeep was a beast. Has anyone done it lately in a 4runner who would like to comment on whether it is a good idea in a nearly stock 4runner?

Nothing as fun as the rest of the recent posts but I did have to quickly dodge a dead skunk in the middle of the road on the way home from picking up my twins from school. The stench was pretty bad and the kids got a kick out of it. Called the city and they hustled on over and removed it and for that I was really grateful as the poor skunk was only 200 feet from our house. Last time a skunk committed death by motor vehicle it took a week to get the stink out of our house.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig.

I was looking at the Metal Tech Sliders and the CBI Off Road Sliders. I looked at the NFab but they seem like they would decrease your clearance over obstacles and hang up. You get what you pay for as well as you bought a Trail Edition with KDSS like I did. You bought a level of capability and I think NFab is a step back.

Does anyone else have any quality recommendations for sliders besides the CBI and Metal Tech?

A few days ago I added the 3D printed TRAIL badge to mine, using rare-earth super magnets to attach it. But I only had enough magnets to do one badge. Yesterday some more magnets arrived in the mail and I was able to finish the badge for the driver's side last night, and stuck it on today:

Both badges were lightly sanded, primed, and then sprayed with four coats of black plasti dip.

160519-Fortymile Desert Lots of sand. Thursday running in the hills of the Hot Springs Range. The interior of the area where I was a few days earlier. The weather was sunny and warm with a lot of wind.
19 May 2016 Weather sunny with cloud front rolling in; warm 80 degrees F; wind 25mph gusting to 50mph.

I wish we had landscape like this in Florida. We are just stuck with this

I'm debating that myself. I think I'm going to wait a while and decide later whether to add one on the rear. I've already spent quite a bit ordering the rack and sliders, so holding off on an emblem for the rear will be one less expense to deal with now.

Nothing major, but I got my MaxTrax pins and finished setting up their temporary mount. Also started fab'ing my axe and shovel mount on the other side. I painted the Fiskars shovel handle olive drab (really Rustoleum "oregano") because... tacticool.
