You're in CA and never been to Oregon? Well, it rains all the time, never gets over 57 degrees, the food is terrible and the fishing sucks. Don't waste the gas....

This little guy was about 6-7 lbs. Hard to tell from the photo, but this is a steelhead net...we released several like him and one around 13.



I spent one day just driving around the ranch checking out the old gold camps, stage coach stations, miners shacks and other cool historical stuff. Not sure how a produce truck ended up here, but it did.

Went to downtown Portland this morning, recovered from that trauma and went into the mountains southeast of Salem. -- Much better.

"This little guy" ?!?!?... Wish we had those little guys in Ca. Have caught healthy wild fish in the McCloud and the Upper Sac but never over a couple lbs.

Damn beautiful country up there! A lot of roads to explore, a lot of water to wade... Flies to cast... Your in a good place. I'll get up there someday.

Getting a little tight! Trail is easy enough but not ready to sacrifice paint job to tree branches. I have to admit though, I have driven down several trails with branches overhanging both sides and have cringed listening to them scrapping down each side only to get out and find no scratches in the finish. Impressive! I don't know what they use to seal the finish but it is tough stuff. Loving this truck more and more.

P.S. Ordered RCI sliders ... 10 days ago! ehem! Josh, really looking forward to getting those bad boys. The sooner they arrive the sooner I can order some skids. lol

Yeah, unless you have any of the darker 4Runner colors like the MGM, then you'll start getting scratches just thinking about tight trails....

They all scratch the same just the darker colors are more noticeable. When I wash my 4runner out in the sun(silver metallic) I can see all the swirls and pinstripes in certain angles. You will never see them if you weren't looking for them on those light colored trucks.

What forest road is this? I went to Abiqua falls/Butte Falls this past weekend and worked my way back up toward Molalla on FS roads. Its a nice area to get lost in this time of the year.
