What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Prepped for an overnight with my dog for Memorial Day. Headed to John Day River tomorrow to try to teach myself to fly fish, bringing my spincasters for when I get pissed and need a break from the fly rod haha. Next project is to find a solution to laying multiple rods across the roof rack. Want something better than bungee chords that will allow the handles to maybe snap into something and then use a bungee just towards the end of the rods to keep them down

You can get creative with PVC to put your rods in. I've seen them with just the handles or using a large one with a capped and screw cap, holding multiple rods. The latter one protects them from the weather and tends to provide better security. Good luck fishing

Got rear ended. 4runner seems okay. I was thinking just putting the pro/trail cover over the scuffs. Anybody else got ideas? Anybody selling one? Also should I worry about the energy absorber damage?

Thanks, that's definitely the best route for multiple day trips and something I'd be interested in. I think the hard part is going to be finding the best way to secure it to the rack in a way that allows it to be easily removable when not in use.

Those interior ceiling bungee mount rack things are pretty slick.

Personally, I'd never want my rods on the roof.

The same thing happened to me the other day. Lucky for him, the kid had the front bumper off his Nissan 300ZX. Just bent one of the loops on the hitch.

Finally finished the stereo!

Decided to repurpose (use) my old school MTX blue thunder amp to power Polk Dxi 690's in the doors. Installed a JVC head unit, Polk dash speakers and a Polk 10 inch subwoofer powered by a Rockford Fosgate 300x1 some time ago. Have now disconnected the dash speakers and am powering the Polk 6x9's with the MTX 50x4 (bridged to 2 channels). Shocked by how clean and loud it sounds. I was worried about totally losing the highs with the 6x9's being so low, but was very pleased with the sound. Very happy with my bargain setup and the help of a buddy to hook it up.

Finally ran my wires for the rigid lights in my rear bumper only to find out that I put my Amber spots in instead of the white duallies, figures, will swap those out in a day or two.

Pathfinders Outdoors. I was surprised to see that they actually had it in Stock. If your planning on getting one you should probably do it now as snorkels are pretty much impossible to find for our trucks.
