Took my completely stock truck to Browns Camp yesterday to play with some of the fancy electronics, and to get some more experience with an automatic transmission off-road. It did really well - scraped the bottom a couple times on some moguls, but otherwise no issues.

I did enjoy 'overwriting' the more aggressive tire patterns on the trails with my street tires, though

Weird. My sr5 has never had a hood shake like that.

a lot of the new 16 Tacoma's do this. Turned out Toyota either had a bad batch of adhesive or it wasn't properly applied because the underhood supports became detached thereby decreasing the rigidity of the part to wind loads.
If you pop your hood and inspect under the thermal/ noise barrier (pops off) you'll likely find some or at least one of the hood structual supports isn't properly adhered.

Got the tires and Bilsteins with rear coil spacers put on this weekend. I tried to take photos of the wheel wells (sorry, its a crappy cell phone) to show the clearance I have with the larger tires and the suspension.

While out getting supplies for some work while in the T4R, I was vividly reminded of our veterans that gave their lives for us and others around the world.

Spent the day down at South padre with my wife and buddy in his new 3rd gen.

Scratched the door handle/trim on the rear driver's side door of the wife's 2014 limited. Wife is not happy. What's the best way to get a replacement part/get this fixed? Please help!

Well....THIS HAPPENED on the maiden voyage on our 16 Limited .......the dogs toe nails scratched this panel on the pass side rear door .....they wer only jumpin g in and out .

Also .......I was cleaning the truck when we returned with vac . The plastic hose nozzle on the vac scratched the console too .....I barely touched the console.

So I,was disappointed in how fragile the finish is . It's just a painted plastic ...to resemble real metal

I m paranoid about he console trim now,of the same silver pained plastic .......just laying metal objects orn it can really scratch it bad , if plastic can gouge it.

Thanks for asking the question .....?I was wondering if there was a simple part fix .

I guess I'll wait till it gets much much worse before buying a whole panel.

Did a 101 course at Rausch Creek! It was my first time offroading ever and I had a blast. The stock 4runner handled it well. Can't wait for next time!
