Rear diff breather mod. Ran the tubing down from the fuel filler area using the overflow hole that goes straight down into the undercarriage.

Your truck is SO clean. Love the setup, I am hopefully ordering the same GOBI tomorrow! Did you notice a 1-2mpg drop after the install? Also, how bad is the wind noise at hwy speed?

I'll have to add pictures later, but yesterday, our first outing of this vacation, I broke in my new recovery strap and shackles, my new MaxTrax, and my new axe. We almost used my brother's winch, too. I didn't get to rub in the fact that I pulled out his Jeep for but a few minutes as he shortly after had to pull me out. I'm sure that I could have avoided getting stuck if I'd tackled it differently, but then he'd also already plowed through the snow drift that tried to claim us.

This was on Last Dollar Road, an 'easy' trail outside Ridgway. Next we head back down to Ouray to try some real trails... I'm guessing that the passes are going to be impassable after yesterday's test run though.

While I don't have those pictures processed, I do have a quick cell-phone photo of the obligatory flex pose on a rock in front of the vacation house when we first got here.

First Off-Road Trip

After getting my RCI sliders on and BFG KO2s on the same day, I decided it was time to take the 4Runner off-road. Went to WindRock Park as a day trip over our long weekend off and had a blast. It was my first time driving off-road so I was a bit cautious. Met a guy in a Wrangler and we did the loop they hand out in the General Store. Pretty amazing that engineers can design a vehicle that can drive you to a place like that, mildly beat it up, and have it take you home in comfort at the end of the day. I love this truck. Trip did not help my wallet any (diff breather mod, winch and lift are now on the list). Tried to keep a clean line all day but could not resist this one...
