Yes, the notch should be covered by the spring seat and the coil should be sitting below the notch.
You might be looking at the picture the wrong way or I'm wrong. I attached the correct picture orientation.

Sitting around while my new 275 KO2s are installed. After just dropping coin on the pro grill last week. This site is super helpful, entertaining, and the people are great, but who is going to cut me a deal on a RTT when my wife divorces me for spending so much on mods? Dammit.

No you have it upside down for sure. There is no way your fronts would be that high if it were right.
So what do I tell the guy to fix or change? And if I wait till Monday and not drive the car will it be okay?

Look at the last page of the directions you sent. This piece is upside down. You will have to have them take the shocks off the truck and reassemble them.

Leave tomorrow on my road trip, over the last week just had a nagging feeling that something wasn't right with the truck. Been slammed with work and it drove fine and zero noises, still decided to take it to a tire shop near my house for a last minute inspection before trip. Brake pads toast of course... So I needed it fixed now. Had them replace pads all around and turn the rotors, cheapest option to get me through, and because it took them twice as long as promised they gave me a very kind discount. This way if the rotors warp sooner rather than later I can get the OE pads and rotors and not feel as bad at the money spent.
Ah such is life.... Back to packing and planning.
