Ran Richland Road with 2 other 4runners and a handful of FJs. One of the 4runners suffered lower ball joint failure. Other than that, was fun.

I got tired of the pipe on my Jeep getting pinched every weekend so I rerouted it to the side. At one point I had to go home to get my sawzall to cut the pipe off in order to get the engine breathing again. Another time, I used my axe. A little nerve racking given the proximity to the gas tank.

I will have to find a way to rout the pipe within the rear bumper of the 4Runner when it comes time for me to build one.

I will have to find a way to rout the pipe within the rear bumper of the 4Runner when it comes time for me to build one.

Just cut it. There's a nice high point about 18" back. Similar with the Tacoma that's mandatory to cut the stock exhaust back

The trail isn't bad enough to warrant carrying an extra, I don't think. Can be done in 2wd when it's not raining or muddy. I think this was more of a freak accident.

As far as recovery, the end result was an off-road tow truck. The crew I was with tried everything from tying the LCA to the spindle with ratchet straps and paracord to ratchet-strapping the wheel to the front bumper to keep it in place and drag him out. The straps wouldn't hold the LCA to the spindle and everything short of the brake lines tore when trying to drag it out.

As far as his setup, I know he was running a Toytec Boss kit but that's all I know. I don't know anything abotu the installation or health of suspension to comment on that aspect.

Had mine about a week now. Already swapped out for hids, led interior and some license plates, now painting the ugly silver off. Love it now looks much mlre aggressive.

Finally got my old OEM street tires on the 4th Gen wheels so I now have a set of tires and wheels for on road and off road use. Thank you to fellow T4R member [MENTION=121627]Toyota-Tech[/MENTION] for the help. He pulled the TPMS sensors from the 5th Gen wheels and put them in the street set and rebalanced all of them for almost nothing.

Also put on some Total Chaos trailing arm skids before hitting Miller Jeep Trail next weekend with TTORA. I'm tired of constantly hitting these when rock crawling so hopefully these help out. Too lazy to paint them at this time.
