What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I am interesting in finding out how these work, living in Phoenix I feel your pain.

My car says 104 right now. I could feel it in the butt and in the back. I can't hear the motor running at all. It fits like a glove and it's very comfortable as well. I don't see any reason why he would not buy these unless you just can't afford the $60. I really like how they look too. Probably going to buy another set for the wife

Did you paint the rack? Is it durable? Any other information I may be forgetting?

The roof rails? I just pulled them off and Plasti-Dip'ed them as a stop gap solution. I did that as I wanted a quick, non-committal fix for now as I'll most likely go with a full rack at some point in the not-too-distant future. If you're not worried about being able to revert to the OEM look (which I'm not after seeing how good it looks now ) and want it as a more long term solution, I wouldn't hesitate to take them in for powder coating. But the Plasti-Dip seems plenty durable for now, as long as you aren't sliding rails back and forth on it.

Nerve of some people's kids... like mine

Added two 12v power ports in the trim panel to the left & right of the rear seat back (for each of my Daughters) Heaven forbid they had to share a power port and wait for the other's phone to charge first.
Wired them on a fused line to be hot all the time so I can charge my phone while at the cabin without having to run the engine.

The guy at the LQ was really impressed with the sliding cargo tray. No bottles of booze were harmed when later opening the rear hatch.

Got rear ended. 4runner seems okay. I was thinking just putting the pro/trail cover over the scuffs. Anybody else got ideas? Anybody selling one? Also should I worry about the energy absorber damage?

Last day of the Ouray vacation, my brother left today so I solo'ed a National Forest access road with the wife. We must've been the first vehicle this season as I cleared several trees. The new axe has been sufficiently broken in on this trip! (Forgive the image quality, these are just quick screen caps of the unprocessed (thus unsharpened) raw files. Gotta lot of images to process when I get home...)

That is a badass axe. I have the same one and the hatchet too...But you need to carry a Stihl brotha!! lol

My wheels should be here within the week. Bilstein 5100's. Front at 2.5,(Got 2.1 Caster) and thanks to [MENTION=91899]Jhalko[/MENTION] for selling me his SAW 1.5 rear springs. Was set on getting KO2's, but ended up getting Toyo Open Country AT2's. E rated 285/70/17's. Rides awesome. Very quiet and plush ride. No rubbing. She do suck down the gas now though. Still need to do the fender liner mod, cause I'm sure it will rub going to the 8.5" wheels.(Method NV's). Now for some C4 fab sliders...

Ha! Yeah, I have the X5 and bought the X27 splitting axe for my dad. Great axes but it was like the trees were conspiring against me that day. You should've seen my expression while standing on that monster aspen after clearing several lesser ones.

Having gone all battery powered (Ego 56v stuff) for my yard tools I have no desire to deal with gas and oil or carry a stinky, messy 'saw, but I see that Ego makes a 16" chainsaw now. I might just have to splurge... An axe is just so easy to pack though!

How is that Yakima basket working for you (assuming it's a Yak)? I was thinking about getting a Megawarrior as a temporary solution while I decide if I want a Gobi, and then during the inevitable wait for it.

Do these work?

YES. Was over 100 yesterday and works great. So basically there's a fan that goes under your chair which is super quiet and plugs into the cigarette lighter. There's a little switch where you can control the amount of air level (1-5).

The air going through the seat is whatever air that is inside the cabin. As the cabin gets colder with your a/c on, the air flowing through the seat gets colder as well. Turning on the air to the feet make the cold air freezing going to the back since the fan is right there under the seat where the vent for the rear seats are.
