Take the insurance check and get a steel bumper. Clearance for lift and bigger tires, and if it happens again you just touch up with spray paint while he gets a new door. 2 birds one stone.

He just had perfect timing. And actually did open it super fast. Not sure the situation, but it wasn't a car that had just pulled into the spot. I'd guess someone was in the spot talking about what to buy or something. My random unsubstantiated guess is the guy and his wife were fighting about what color of paint or what bath fixture to buy, the door is thrown open with frustration at just the wrong time. Not sure. I waited for a car to clear from another spot to move out of the way and then pulled into the spot - so it wasn't someone who had just parked and you'd anticipate opening a door. Right as I got to the driver's door it popped open right into the corner of the 4runner. I'm a slow driver. Just caught my by surprise. It hit just perfect on the end of the door. Looks like it hit a pole or something.
In the course of life it's a pretty minor issue. My only real frustration other than dealing with a body shop is that home depot could make it so easy for both of us and save a lot of time and effort by just burning a copy of that video. No need for all the fighting about fault and such. But it won't, so away we go toward lots of unnecessary expense and time to get the same video they could hand me today to solve the problem.

yikes. you definitely need to relocate that. it'll be a projectile in a collision for sure.Mounted an H3R dry chemical extinguisher to the jack cubbyhole cover plate.
Used the supplied mount, hopefully stays put, I'll find out this weekend when I hit the trail.

I tried these lights on the exterior at first and wasnt pleased with the look. The modified lights give it the "factory" look and I like the flush look with the TRDP grille, Much better IMO
1) you will need to modify these lights to fit the grill.
2) These are wired into the parking lights(the low beam version of the flashers) You will find the harness to tap into directly under therubber gasket where the hood meets the body of the car. Turn on your parking lights and test both wires till you see an output. (if you get the wrong wire, it will likely flash when you turn on your blinker)

Finally installed my slimline hybrid. It was a PITA installing it solo.... An arm workout to say the least ha. Great product thank you @ssouthern

Honestly think the TRDP's should just come with these.
Yes... I know... Some of you will think im stupid for spending 75.00 on these. $60(had a coupon from my old dealership in Texas, 12+Tax for mailing VS the 10.00 can of PlastiDip most of you do it with... but to be honest, The five minutes it took to apply these was well worth it. Dont really have the patience to apply the 15 coats of Plasti.. .and the finish on these are so beatiful. My shitty pictures do no justice

Came home to Christmas in June, new fly rod and Toytec lift with SAW rear springs. Pizza cutters should be here tomorrow and then I have to figure out where to get it all installed. Shop down the street quoted $200 more than a place an hour away. Question is, is the convenience worth $200?

Ask the local shop to match it, or see if they'll meet you half way on price or something?

Yeah I'll probably give them a call tomorrow to ask about that. Local place is booked almost a month out so they can probably afford to lose me, can't hurt to ask though!
