Don't let these guy become negative influences on your plans to remain within factory specs.
It starts with switching out your dome lights for LED's, then you might tent your windows... Then comes the on board air, tire upgrade, roof rack and ladder. Then you start subscribing to build threads and lift your rig... it just goes on and on... All while it was purchased as your daily commuter/family vehicle.

Yeah. We moved away in 2007 and while I've been back to the hill country to visit family I haven't been in Austin since 2008. A lot had definitely changed but there's still a lot of the old there too.

Thanks! I'm really excited about it. I'm moving to a more rural area and wanted something a little more capable than my STI.
As far as modding goes, probably not too much.. I did switch out the interior lights to LED and it's going to need better tires but it'll mostly be for just getting around on non-paved areas.
Some day I'll build something more exotic..

Bluetooth went out on the 4runner. Tried all I knew and then some. Took it by the dealer and they said they did some sort of update and it's good as new. True enough, it's working fine again. I did have it forget all the saved phones on it and then synced it with my iPhone. All good.
Also cleaned her up real nice and put a good wax on the roof as I am awaiting a delivery phone call any minute(day,lol) now for delivery of the Gobi no-rise rack. It's been a long 13 weeks, invoice said it shipped on the 17th......
PSS, anyone waiting on the pro-clunk replacement shocks? they are on backorder.

Some superior modding went down today. Plasti Dipped the new rear door handle which lead to touching up the rest of them and the hatch trim. Didn't feel like taking the grille piece off so that will happen later if at all lol. Threw on the rest of my beach passes and now my bumper looks like s**t. Believe me, I had a separate plate bracket that would fit behind my fairlead idea brewing but I find out that it has to be permanently to the vehicle due to people using it on vehicles which they weren't registered under. They come out and watch you put it on in a specific location. Also have one on the rear driver passenger window.

I actually really like the way that Loadwarrior looks up there. Extension or no? For a few hundred bucks, that is starting to look how I will be going. I'd love a full length, but at like 1/6 of the cost....
I just had a revelation....
For the last year, whenever I had to vacuum the car, I had to park in the driveway and get out an extension cord. Run it to the house, etc. Was a hassle, especially when I couldn't get into the driveway but really wanted to vacuum out the car.
It literally just hit me, due to your post, that I can plug the freakin vacuum into the trunk.
