What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed a 42" Spec Ops - Bug Out light bar.
Very bright and low profile, just what I wanted.
I had to do some custom work since the Gobi rack was set up for a 40" light bar not 42". I had to drill a few new holes for the mounts and space out one side for the wire but it worked out.

I've only had a saw on it for maybe 50km (~30mi) so far. no leaks that I could see from a saw that was about half full of bar oil and maybe a 1/3 of a tank of fuel. I would think that spillage would likely be a function of a huge number of factors......

.....in my limited experience with this mount to date, I can definitively say that my husqvarna 235 that was cold, partly full, which does not normally leak, and was being driven on city highways did not leak. your experience may vary.

Kolpin does make a "boot" which covers the bar and part of the power unit more extensively if you're worried about leaks, though I think you need a different mount to use with it.

Where in eastern Ohio? Recreation land? I'm trying to find somewhere local to show my kids some stars. I'm in Cbus. And how much of that did you see with your eyes vs just in the camera?

Hey there welcome to T4R!

The area where that shot was taken would be perfect for a family outing.

It's about 10 mi NE of Mt Vernon.

Editing to add: The milky way is more of a hazy cloud with the adjusted naked eye. There's still a lot of air pollution in OH especially in the summer when humidity is high. However if you take your kids out, wait until after 1030 and have them look to the horizon on a SW heading from now to August and they'll be able to see it!

Those center caps not from same wheels, right? I think bead-lock wheels have that center cap. If that's the case, I wonder what other options are there for exchanging center caps because the ones in your pic are terrible quality. They made in China and I replace them nearly every year due to peeling finish. Any ideas?

The wheels are the F/N Pro's with the Genuine Toyota TRD caps (part # PTR18-35092) in them. The tag on the bag identifies it as being made in China. I was also given a set of black plastic caps with no markings on them. I thought for now I would run the TRD cap while I try to find a matching paint color to paint the black caps.

Maiden Voyage... First off road experience up at Fall River. I should have taken more pics, couldn't quite get I good shot of the terrain. I have to say though, I was pretty nervous gettin on the trail with the brand new beast! But that's what they're built for right?!

Very soon you will chalk the scratches and dents up to "character!" Within three months of owning my $46k TRD PRO I had scratches in the clear coat from tree branches, gouges in my front skid from testing clearance over boulders and a fat dent in my gas tank skid from bouncing down a muddy boulder strewn trail. Waiting on a new gas tank skid so I can get out and do more carnage. F it! You can't take it with you so you might as well use it up while your here. P. S. Yes, that's what they're built for.

The orange one is a 1970 and yes I am building it right now. I took off a few days for a long weekend to hit it hard. The gold one is a 1969 and runs pretty good - needs body work but is not bad. Both have V8s - one a 3 speed the other a 4 speed. The 70 I am building into a " End of the World" Rig- the 1969 I will restore to stock.

It's all bolt on and simple to install...but it also depends on how comfortable you are around tools
