Got my plates transferred over from the land cruiser, from here on out the 4runner will be known as wampa junior.. could never replace senior! Time to sell the fzj80, sad to see it go but doesn't make sense holding onto it anymore.

When we got back I offered him a cold one from the back of the 4Runner (it was 101 with the heat index today...) and he flipped out over the ARB fridge in the back of the 'Runner! He talked about it for like 20 minutes, lol.

Very nice, is that the ARB 2000 awning? Also did you use the ARB universal mounts? I have been looking into mounting an ARB awning on my front runner rack and wasn't sure about the mounts.

I ran over something on the freeway that smacked the tie rod end and let the goo out. Time for a replacement. Only 26K miles on the truck

Any chance this would be covered under warranty? Should this be taken care of immediately?

Considering tinting the windshield to (85% or 50%)...thoughts?

Also received the AVS Bugflector and (1) of the (5) BFG KO2's in 275/70R17. The other (4) BFG's are due to arrive tomorrow. If the remaining tires show up, I'll be trying to shoehorn an appointment on Saturday to get the new shoes installed.

I "tinted" the windshield on the car and love how it rejects heat, but I haven't done the 4runner yet because I'm afraid I'll go through windshields like on my truck (3 in just over a year and total of 6). Went with 90% or something like that. Can hardly tell there is a tint film at all.

I changed my oil at 3083 miles just to get any possible grit from manufacturing out. What a total pain in the butt. Taking the TRD skids off was a mild pain, then realizing that I needed to get a 10x1.25mm tap to chase the holes and took out a ton of crap in order to reinsert the bolts was ridiculous. Then I forgot to get the drain plug gaskets while at the dealer and had to go back. :smash:

I'd never heard of it, but after looking into it, it looks awesome! We just did Cranberry Lake over 4th of July weekend, which was nice but crowded and noisy. Can't see for sure from the maps if there are waterfront sites that are accessible by road or not though. Would much rather be able to fish from the campsite than not.
Have you camped there before?

I haven't camped in that area but I do know that waterfront is hard to find or get to because it fills up pretty quick. As we know most of the Adks are hike in only. There is a jeep trail into Crane pond at the north end of the Pharaoh lake wilderness. There are also camp sites along an access rd on the east side of the Hudson river north of Luzerne. Best to call DEC to ask about drive in sites. I'm still discovering trails.

Moose River Plains NY

Spent the week camping along the 30 + mile access corridor through the Moose River Plains Wild Forest. There are over 100 campsites along the dirt track. Some on the road and some deeper in along some fairly gnarly fun trails. Quite a variety of forest and lake terrains. Many hiking trails as well. Very quiet and remote. Sites have picnic tables, fire places and out houses. Definitely recommended.

Yes 2000. I'm using the front runner universal awning mounts. It comes as a three mount pack.

Headed out on a nice road trip up to Glacier in a few weeks, picked up a Rola rack for the trip and figured I'd do the Lamin-X on the fogs while I was at it. Will need to do the fog light mod at some point so that come winter, I have a lighting option for those mountain blizzards that isn't just running the daytime running lights so that I can see through the snow while just hoping others can actually see me too.
