I had a head on collision with ... small bird. No damage to 4Runner (yes, this BOF truck is tough :whoo.

Only one thing I can say, it wasn't my fault. The bird run a red light and I had no even chance to see it:drama:

Fun

Had a great afternoon riding dirt bikes at Stoney Lonesome OHV Park. Hot as all git out but still fun. Would have been real nice if I had my ARB2500 awning mounted but alas the mounts don't arrive until Wednesday(ordered 7/1 from trail duty). Also got to meet another 4runner owner that took his new sr5 out and got it dirty. He said it did great. Fun day all around, ready for the fall already!

Went up Saxon Mountain with my buddy in his relatively new trail premium.

Which trailhead is this? I don't think I have ever been up that one.

You take Saxon Mountain road until it becomes dirt/rocky. It will take you up to the top of the mountain. There was a rock slide earlier in the year that was mostly cleared but has created a few tight spots and areas that require additional clearance. The group of heavily modded jeeps I saw on the trail were surprised/sad that I was able to make it up in a mostly stock 4runner. :thumb: The only other non-jeep I saw on the trail was nicely modded FJ.

Which trailhead is this? I don't think I have ever been up that one.

nothing spectacular...i finally got off of the OEM Dunlops...nice enough as an intro tire...they got me thru the Bliz of 2016 aaiight...


but now, some nice new Cooper Adventure A/Ts...ride is a tad stiffer, but steering response is pretty awesome. Now looking for an opening in my schedule to get em dirty. Love the looks tho...they look like they belong on the truck, vs the Dunlops, which looked like rim protectors at best.


Searches tell me the Adventurer ATs are very similar to the Discoverer ATs, so they should do me well for what i will do with them. Namely light off roading, towing, snow, and daily commuting.
