Put on the overlay kit from ebay. Originally, I dipped them but wasn't happy with it. Looks nice and clean, only down side is it's a little pricey. The kit was from Toyota of Tampa.

Missing skid plate bolts and oil dripped into the skid during the process. Take it back to the dealer and make them fix it (I assume they changed it)

Well I removed the new rear trailing arms and the noise went away. Noticed a ton of play in the heim joint and then contacted the manufacturer. They suggested a few things and I will try installing them again to see what happens.

Which brand trailing arms?

Can"t, they are 7 hours away, anyone point me in the direction of some bolts? And am I missing a skid plate, I saw two holes like this, one on each side of the plastic piece held on by the 4 clips, 2014 limited.

Fishing was pretty good. Most people in our tournament maxed out everyday except for me hahaha. People had success with green garlic power bait or pink salmon powerbait I think it was. Everyone was using 2lb line for the liter which I didnt find out till later so I think that helped. The water level looked really low I could tell where the lake used to be almost 20-30 feet back in most places. Good luck!

Cleaner

It had a smell of wet dog and cigar smoke, which is not supposed to be the case as it was a "non smoking" rental. Anyway, we rented a Bissel carpet cleaner and put in a heavy cleaner/stain protector in the water and ran that, then followed it up with a can/scrub nice cleaner. It is drying tonight, but it smells 100x better already!

The problem with heim joints is and will always be noise. My 5th gen Camaro has solid rear cradle bushings, delein bushings on the 3rd member and poly bushings on the rest of the suspension and of course heim joints on the sway bar links.

Installed SPC LR UCA's in the garage. Everything was going well until I unpacked one boot and the retaining ring was not there. One boot had this beautiful gold circular clip at the top, and the other nothing. I was instructed by SPC to safety wire the boot up until they ship me the part, in 4 days. When I asked how did this $500 kit get shipped with out it, dude said, "heh, nobody's perfect". Damn..

So basically the boot was not held up, which isn't a big deal for a short period of time. But this is my daily driver in the air, with tires off, parts/tools everywhere . I was pissed. So I will have to rip all this out when it gets here and reinstall it, and I wont be able to align it until its complete either. Ah the joys of DIY

n-Fab steps

Noticed corrosion and rust near the rear, after the step, but facing forward. Did not make sense to rust there. Finally got ambitious, took them off, used my new walnut shell blaster and a rattle can of flat black. The 4Runner looks odd with them removed, they are going back on soon. Then noticed low tire pressure up front and found a small nail in the tire.

Took my RTT off today... haven't been able to use it for weeks and won't for at least two more weekends. Took 10 mins to unfasten and lift and set in the garage (with a buddy). Need to clear space for it so I can park in the garage next, but I'll wait until it cools down today.

Sad not to get to use it lately, mostly cuz I'm working a ton, at least the memories of a month off are fresh. :sad:

I did this over the past couple days, finally got it done: Removed the stock rack and installed my new Gobi "no-rise" Stealth rack with fairing and ladder!!!
