The extreme western tip of Fire Island. Democrat point LI NY. WHat a beautiful day. I love my 4runner. I had a RAM 1500 prior and I am not looking back. The RAM was a nice truck but this 4runner is in another league out here.

I am purchasing this truck after leasing RAM. Jeep GC..and an Acura. I alwyas wanted a 4runner. I plan on putting many miles on this rig.

Nope, it was just wet when I took the pic. Dried flat black.

I was hoping that tire cleaner would leave them looking new and conditioned looking but it was such a pain to use. That rust color kept coming out of my tires even after 4 complete washes. I gave up and just let them be. I'm not a fan of glossy looking tires on my 4Runner so the search continues... lane:

Have you tired Mother's Back to Black? Brings out the black color without the gloss.

Saturday met up with MTN4RNR, V_man and others from Expo Portal and we hit up Slick Rock trail. MTN4RNR was not brave enough or dumb enough to attempt Slick Rock in his rig yet. After we finished the trail, he was quite happy with his decision to walk the trail and spot.

Although you dont see a lot trucks with Shoreline Blue Pearl on the forum. It's not offered in the later models from what I can tell. Shame.

I was there this last Friday after camping at Utica Reservoir. It's funny that the warning sign at the trail head says 2 wheel drive not recommended. I walked the first couple hundred yards and decided the trail should not be recommended for even a mildly lifted 4x4 like mine. Looking at your pictures just confirms that I made the right choice by not even starting on the trail.

Got the black emblem overlays from ebay. Yes they're pricey. Yes, painting them would've been alot cheaper. But I work close to 60 hours a week and I have 2 young boys, so I need to choose the path of least resistance.

Installed this one today... MoB Armor Cellphone mount by Mob Mounts purchased it @ karteck.

pretty sturdy and bad ass because its magnetic...

I like that Mob Armor mount. I have been looking for something better than the vent mount I have been using and not looking for something as "always there" as the RAM/Panavise/Proclip options I have used in the past. The Steelie would always be there but you have shown me the perfect solution with one mod. I will remove the trim piece above the glove box where you put yours and mount the steel disk on the inside so that when the Mob mount is off it looks like nothing was there. That with a little felt (or the rubber boot) over the Mob Phone cradle is the perfect solution for me. Thanks for posting this [MENTION=116156]TheWraith[/MENTION]
