BTW I don't know if anybody noticed that there is a problem with installing AOB Switches in place of knock-outs in the dash? I did not read anywhere about it. Anyway this will also be in the write-up.

Electric Trailer brake connector would be my guess.

Just check the schematic for "Trailer Towing" in 2010 4Runner. Towing Brake Controller has 5 wires:

1. Green - Goes to brake connector in the towing socket
2. Grey - takes 12V behind 30A fuse (Towing Brk)
3. White/Black - goes to ground
4. Blue - goes to stop switch (brake pedal)
5. The other green - is 12V behind 10A fuse when tail light is on

The plug is more square, not flat and is white, not black.

In my 2012 SR5 I found two additional not connected plugs: both flat 8-pin, one white the other black. One is for 120V Power switch (Black) and the other is for automatic running board switch (White). I don't have either of these but apparently some of the wiring is there. All explained in the "last chapter" of my My install of 28 inch 145W LED Bar (14k lumen) and Accessory Fuse Box (with pictures)

Finished up our 1500 mile round trip family vaca to Gulf Shores AL! 4Runner did pretty good; was smooth even at 80ish and we avg'd just over 20 mpg each way. (Not gonna lie tho, was still tough picking it over the wife's new qx60 sitting in the garage with dual backseat DVD players for the kids... Those would have been soooo handy).

Installed the the Extreme HID Kit (4300K Philips bulbs) from Xenon Depot. Extremely happy with the difference, both from visibility and aesthetics. Install was very straight forward as well.

Highly recommend this mod!
