Rerouted the locker air line and diff breather line. Confirmed what's causing the loud cracking noise coming from the rear every time I hit a bump. Exactly what I had suspected. I just hope that when I replace the rod ends it's cured.

Look at that nice flat smooth hood! I do not like the pseudo-scoop. I am considering ordering a bare steel flat replacement. Have to see what it will cost to get it painted. I envy you that.

Why not just trade it?

I'm sure there are a ton of Limited and SR5 owners who would happily swap hoods.

A Dedicated Winter Wheelset

For my wife's 2016 SR5 Premium, I bought sets of 2015 OEM SR5 takeoff rims ($260 from Craigslist), Model 42607-33021 TPMS sensors ($50 eBay) and Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV 265-70-17 winter tires ($750 including tax, mounting and lifetime balancing from Discount Tire). These will be for a dedicated winter wheelset. I already have an ATEQ QuickSet TPMS Tool. I was debating about getting a winter wheelset for 4Runner but want to be safe given marginal performance of Bridgestone factory tires.

Finished swapping my interior lights to LEDs

Replaced backup lights with Putco Plasma's - not bad, hoping for brighter.

Replaced low beams with the HID Extreme kit (Phillips 4300k bulb option). Very nice!

Overall very pleased with the updates.

Laurel Lakes

Did the Laurel Lakes trail in Mammoth...quite rocky with some sharp rocks. I did puncture my BFG K02 in the sidewall and scraped up a wheel on the way back...The tire shop in Mammoth calls it Bloody Mountain.

Interesting trail, not tough but very loose and sharp rocks in spots - switchbacks were interesting and steep...and quite bumpy overall...even some motorcycles were having issues - actually they were surprised I made it all the way down to the lake. :noidea: Did see another 5th and 4th Gen going up when I came back down.
