Took a Sunday drive to Twin Lakes in the North Cascades, Washington.

Love it! I'm looking for spots this in SoCal

The wife took our 4R up to Sedona for a girls overnight.

This was her first trip solo and did a great job although there was probably close to 80 lbs of clay/mud stuck to the underside of the truck when she got home so that was a fun 3 hours to clean it all up!

As a side note, she said the tires did great and had little to no slippage on the highway with heavy rain or the muddy trail so another plus to the Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

What made you choose Ridge Grapplers over Trail Grapplers?

Took a vacation day and installed the Daystar spacers. Took about 5 hours. Could have cut a to of time off w a second set of hands, but no one around. Really happy with the look. Doesn't look like a grocery getter anymore.

Take about 5 minutes and a sawzall and trim that back!

I just spent sometime cutting the pipe back to where the "tip" started. I didn't want to cut it all the way back at the axle dump like yours is, mostly because I don't want any exhaust intrusion in the cab. But, have you had that problem having yours cut back?

Any one else with exhaust chopping opinions? Open to suggestions, one thought is to have a "side dump" just behind the last hanger like this one...

This would keep it out of the way off road until sometime later on down the road when I upgrade rear bumpers.

No problems. I love driving around with the rear window down. Never smell exhaust. Plus it was fast and cheap and never have to worry about smacking it.

I just finished editing and uploading a fun little video composed of off-road clips and scenes from my Mojave/Nevada trip. You can see it in the "New Vids" thread on this forum.

Took it up to Coolwater Lookout in Lowell Idaho. Elevation about 7000 ft, the last mile or so was very rough. I was by myself so no spotter to help me up the road and was worried about body damage prior to getting my rock sliders. The fire watchman came out to greet me and said "You win the prize!" I asked for what? He said "You're the first vehicle up here this year" Once I began the last couple miles of the forest service road, I couldn't turn around. What the hell, I'm committed and in for a penny, in for a pound. Glad I pressed on, the view was spectacular and the watchman was quite the nice fellow. The only damage was from the last big rock on the way down (or the first rock on the way up that made me stop and rethink the endeavor) scraping the bottom of my rear axle. As my friend told me, this thing will take me to places where even I'm not sure I want to go. 4runner had so much more capability that I didn't even used due to fear of body damage.

I've worked more in the last month than I knew I could mentally handle. After finishing a big project last week I got out for a night with the fam. Chilly up high but we were all fine in the RTT. A friend came along in his new GX, it's nice.
