Went to tune up the old runner before selling it. It was my first truck, loved it. Sold it to my brother, needless to say hes not a car guy.

He left it at a garage before winter and wanted to scrap it. I took over and someone will pick it up friday. Its old but the engine runs like a charm.

Hey fellas. The "4Runner" emblem on the back, it's obviously glued on but are there pilot holes for each character? I'd like to remove the entire thing and only have the Toyota emblem on the rear.

Failed attempt at plasti-dipping the center of the hood. Peeled with the tape. Wasn't happy with the finish either though. :shrugs:

Had some 3M ceramic tint applied to my front windows. 20% matches the factory tint pretty well. I'm impressed by its heat blocking so far on this 93* day.

I just saw a 4Runner with the back emblem off and there were slots where the emblem mounted.

Installed [MENTION=125603]bandi[/MENTION] 1/2" body lift. Super easy and quick although the rear bolts are a major PITA.

Just converted my SR5 to Limited. Sort of. Actually installed a hood insulator (originally was only available for Limited in 2012). Got clips of ebay (15pcs for $2.50). The installation took lest than 5 minutes. This was the easiest mod I ever did - easier than replacing a light bulb. :doh:

The reason for a hood insulator was 99% cosmetic (hides windshield washer pipes) and 1% practical (I plan to use it as a support for under hood lights).

Oh well, whatever you say, it looks nice. :baby:

I used these mounting brackets

so you used those brackets, cut a hole in the grill moved the brackets close enough to toward the grill to have the lenses stick through?

Did you make a 'frame' for the grill around the lights?

I was looking for a a bit of detail on how you did the install.

Ordered Demello hybrid sliders (4wk wait)
Ordered the front and rear black Pro bumper pieces. Plastidip'd now temporarily to see if I liked the coloring, and yeah, put the order in along with the RAV4 mirrors
