What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

After installing the Toytech lift by myself in my garage, then getting new tires, bumping the front coilovers up another inch and adding wheel spacers I was done for a couple weeks. Luckily I have a work vehicle so I am not totally dependent on my 4Runner. After a reboot I took it in for an alignment today.

Did a bit of hiking to see the aspens changing colors. The drive included about 15 miles of dirt, so I was able to perform my monthly exercise of off road goodies.

Where was this at? Based on news reports, I was thinking that next weekend would be the time to start weekend trips to view the fall colors, but not by this shot.

That shot was from the Pingree Park area looking south to the Mummy Range. I thought we might be too early as well, but once we got up to 9500 feet or so, everything really started coming out.

I would be looking for body parts after going holy shit take cover in ther aftermath of a vbid and the old parts of your underbelly go flying off of the truck in your driveway warzone. And I thought I was messy when working on my truck!

Haha yeah, but I'm thorough in my clean up. I've got a lot of old parts now with only 10000 miles that I don't know what to do with. Time to post em up I guess.

Oil change in driveway. Cleaned MAF. Ordered KnN Engine Air Filter, delivered today, time to install

While under the truck heavily contemplated lifting her soon, it'd make oil changes easier! Sure that's a good enough reason for me.



Edit: Also, after installing KN reusable Engine Air filter she's running GREAT! stronger n smoother. Think I may get URD MAF Sensor Calibrator installed ASAP.

Being disabled, feels good to be able to wrench a little, then driving the 4R after she accelerates stronger and smoother. Def after multiple road trips, oil n air filter needed changing thou earlier than 10K schedule(severe wear). Saving a sample of oil to send for testing thru Blackstone.

Not "today" but I took my TEP with motorcycle in tow out to CO for 4 days of hiking, riding, and off roading. Being from Iowa, I only have experience in mud, I've never done any kind of crawling/rocks, etc. It was a blast! It was a lot less physical than tearing it up on the KTM but also quite a bit slower lol. My favorite moment was going over the top of Tincup. I was stopped by two groups of SxS riders challenging me "you're going to take THAT down the trail!?". Left me a little apprehensive as I had no idea what was ahead and they clearly did. However, I shouldn't have even hesitated. There were some big rocks/drops but I only heard the skid touch once and it really couldn't be avoided. For sure increased my confidence in what she is capable of. Can't wait to get her lifted!

Hello, new owner here. Can't post new thread because not enough replies?

Anyway I am looking for a class 3 hitch receiver for my 2016 SR5 and cannot find one, and wanted to know if anyone can tell me where to purchase one.

I plan on buying a travel trailer and need to use a weight dist. bars on the hitch, but no luck finding anyone who makes a class 3 receiver.

More info is needed to help properly (model year, mileage, what the wheeling conditions may have been, etc.) I've known of this code in older vehicles, but haven't heard of a 5th gen throwing it yet. If you searched, you know that it's related to the ECM. IIRC, it refers to engine off time and programming a new drive interval. I doubt it'll drive any differently, but you also won't pass an emissions test. Sounds like a trip to the dealer and potential warranty work (especially if it's newer.) Good luck.
