What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Didn't test drive truck tonight, just started to verify no check engine light was flagged and set green program. Throttle response seems faster. Driving it to work tomorrow for a shakedown run :naughty:

Hey [MENTION=107754]Bonyfattony[/MENTION], very happy with results! Throttle response is soooo much better, truck is much peppier with more get up and go than stock. This is how the truck should have come from Toyota IMHO.

Seems to be a theme. Had a shop break a stud right b4 I was leaving for a road trip. I was able to back it out of the lug nut and had them remount all 4 wheels. 100 lb/ft is what everyone thinks

Well, Discount tire either never ordered my tires (Falken Wildpeak A/T3W) or sold them out from under me.

But, being the company they are, they offered me a set of Cooper ATP in LT265/70/17 sizing at a deep discount. I couldn't say no.

I've gotta little rub going on, on both my passenger and driver side wheel wells. The tread on these is crazy deep.

I'll see if the heat gun will take care of most of it later this weekend, but the front driver side will require a little trim to clear at full left lock in reverse.

We went out to the Cohutta Wilderness to explore some and get some photos checking on the status of the trees changing their leaf colors. I made a thing.

Well with the help of a friend who's good with CAD. Still some tweaks. But I'm not entirely sure if we'll make a production run of these, or if it'll be kept to a dozen for now.

Aluminum mounting plate for a fire extinguisher, works on both sides. I won't mod the weathertech mat till I know this works well, and it SHOULD still work with the plastic rail cover feet if you notch them out.

Goal is to be anodized as well.

If you factor in the weight I've added, it's irrelevant how fast any computer or I try to make my truck accelerate. Plus Barry will have so much wind resistance when he finally puts that 40" inch light bar on its dubious at best.

Threw on some locking lug nuts and this thing...I know the torque spec is 22ft lbs, but the rear bolts got pretty tight about 1/2 way in. Is that normal for a TRD pro skid?

Edit: Searched and found out yes it is. Removed the bolts, cleaned the threads, and used anti-seize to prevent disaster.

Umm, did you watch the video? I think you fail to realize that when you push the skinny pedal harder on a fly by wire system, ECU opens throttle body at a pre determined speed (thank you Toyota......not), booster increases throttle body opening speed thus increasing throttle response. Not like the old days of throttle cables where it was a mechanical connection (1 to 1), push pedal at a certain speed, throttle body opens at same speed.
