This mileage may not seem like a huge milestone to most, but for me, it's the biggest and happiest milestone. I drove my first born(son) home!!!!!!!!!!! 6lb 15oz, 19" of amazing! Thanks for all of your support!!!!( momma didn't think this was a "family oriented" site, but I'm pretty sure most builds are for the families!) momma is healthy and safe and so is baby! Now begins the best adventure of my life!

Couldn't do it. The trail I've been dying to try all summer proved too gnarly for The Tank.The largest rock outcropping (I'm now calling the Gatekeeper) denied us. It wasn't as bad in the spring when I scouted the trail but now it is dug out deeper from other vehicles and erosion. I measured the pitch with an pitch tilt app on my tablet and it would have been at least 45°. I was not willing to risk my 45k truck to placate my ego. As it was my brother and I had an exciting moment on the way down when the front passenger wheel dipped into a hole while coming over a boulder on a slope and the ass end teeter tottered up into the air. (Sorry no pics of that we were too busy scrambling to back out and set a new line.) I'm kind of bummed because just beyond the Gatekeeper the trail levels out and becomes an easy drive up over the mountain. Oh well, live to fight another day. There are back door trails on the other side to explore. Only superficial trail damage. My brother is in the pic spotting. Nice technical drive though, 4 lo, A-Trac and occasionally locked rear dif.

I have a weird work situation that I have to use all of my vacation by October 15 or its forfeited, so I get a few days to go play if work is slow.Did a camping trip from Utah, through Nevada, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and back. Then rented a skid steer, ripped out my rotten old railroad tie retaining wall and moved 16,000lbs of landscaping blocks (in 4 trips). Almost enough to take the tires off the ground when the forklift set the pallet of block on the trailer (before moving it up to a save spot to travel with extended forks - the lift wouldn't pick the pallet on the end of the long forks so we had to set it on then slide it forward). Then headed down to Moab for a long weekend of camping/hiking/offroading tomorrow.
