Took her wheeling at Nellis Sand Dunes and shooting in Sloan. Didn't plan to make it out here so didn't bring any of my camera gear so pic was shot with a potato. Truck did well made it up some pretty steep slopes without any trouble.



Decided to purchase some deflators as well as a Milton air gauge since my cheap ass Autozone one decided to crap out on me. Little on the pricey side but it pays to be convenient lol

Plan on four weeks. I believe there is currently a group buy on Tacoma World; save you 20%. I should have got these 4 years ago. The seats on the 2013 TE are rock hard.

Not today, but last week I removed the plastidip on my fenders after 1 year 7 months. I'll say it held up quite well while it was on there. I think I do prefer the look of the painted normal fenders better though now that I have it off.

Also over the last few weeks replaced my hi and lo headlights with Auxbeam LED bulbs and they are outstanding (sorry no pics yet). Also completely detailed the interior and did my 40K oil change last Friday.

Maiden Voyage w/GOBI

Big South Fork - Mountain Biking, hiking, camping.
My first trip with this rack and I racked out on it for 3 nights. I had some memory foam that fit nicely inside the rack (mesh floor version). I used a couple sheets and a primaloft quilt I made with anchor points. They allow me to tie the quilt to the rails. Has a couple of benefits - the quilt does slide off of me at night and secures me from rolling over the edge. Rigged up a light weight tarp lean-to style to knock down the northern breeze/moisture and open on south end for air & visibility. It was a good experiment. I have another idea I will try next for the shelter. One that doesn't require poles or trees.

I changed my spark plugs yesterday, and did the body mount chop... i really need to wear a long sleeve shirt when I weld.

Changed all 3 wiper blades using Toyota OEM refills. Should be good for another 4 years.

Used my day off to do some recon for fly fishing spots. Ran into a lot of locked gates and private land dead ends, but I finally found my way to the North Fork of the Trask and had a good time getting lost along the way. Even came across a surprise waterfall. Only had the small fly kit I keep in the truck all the time so I tossed a few out with no luck. Will be back with my waders and the whole nine next time!
