Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. This is how it came from the factory so I'm assuming its correct, I'll see what the other end looks like when I get it tensioned.

Installed the TRS Morimoto Elite HID kit and the Morimoto XB LED Fogs. I copied [MENTION=103267]Saker[/MENTION] for the HID install. I used the XB Direct Replacement thread for the fogs and did not have to remove the bumper.
Wife and I are headed downtown tonight for the canSURVIVE event. Can't wait to see how the lights look on the way back home!

I love the N-Fab bars. We are not taking our runner on any serious off-roading. Mostly a mall-crawler with occasional off pavement jaunts.

Nice! I put an 8100 in my wife's RAV4 and it's a pretty solid unit. My only real complaint is that the nav volume isn't relative and it's a bit soft if the music is at a "fun" volume. It's an order of magnitude better than the 4Runner's nav though. I'm debating about getting an 8200 or a Kenwood DNX893S for my 4R. I just need to get off my ass and find a body shop to paint the install kit to match my Trail's metallic black trim.
I'd appreciate a write-up on the Maestro RR though!

Found some nice side trails while checking out an access road to a pond.
Tried Back Country Navigator on my tablet. It worked ok but the area I downloaded was limited. I found that if I load an area on Google maps with the Terrain feature and leave it up while out on the trail gps shows my position very well over a broader area. This will let me explore trails that go off into the hills and split repeatedly.

The Maestro is direct plug and play which saves a lot of time. You no longer need to tap into any wires as long as you flash it with the correct firmware. I will say that there are a lot of wires from the cameras, maestro, navigation and various harnesses that you will need to fit behind the radio. Fortunately for us, the 4runner has a lot of space behind the radio.
I was able to get the 8200 from Sonic Electronics for a little over $1000.

Modified a Scepter water can because I'm too weak/lazy to remove it from the bumper carrier all the time. Way easier to wash hands and dishes (and take cold showers after I think about [MENTION=129593]MTN4RNR[/MENTION])....all without needing to remove it from the bumper.

boo. thanks for letting me know. i'm at 53k, and have been delaying/stalling/having a hard time squeaking out the time to do this one. maybe i should try to get it done before the snow flies, after all.
