Decided that my beat to hell transmission skid would be easier to replace than beat with a big hammer and repaint, again. The gas skid is scratched up and dented but hopefully another year out of it. :naughty:
Took advantage of RCI Black Friday/cyber Monday deal, essentially the same as the last group but given i only needed one thing it's fine. :cowboy:

Finished my 2' Firestik antenna project. Worked out really well and can securely either point up or lay flat for low height places. Grounded to one of the trunk strut bolts and get an SWR of 1.5. I put detailed pics in my build thread.

Tidy, indeed.
I haven't done that yet, but I my wife did get a laugh when she saw the case of 48 Kleenex boxes I sourced online, determined to find the ones that fit the console holder.
A lot of Kleenex, but I'm hoping to keep the 4Runner for a long time...

20K service today. Hit 20044 in one week shy of a full year of ownership. It's been a great experience so far.

Aluminum or steel?
I soaked up a bunch of water that leaked into my sunroof and floorboard last night. It hasn't rained in nearly 65 days before last night, and this morning I woke up to a leak from somewhere.
I tried searching old posts, lots of people say check your drains. I am not sure where these drains are, or even what they look like. Could someone kindly send me a few pictures of what I should be looking for?
2010 Limited 4WD w/ sunroof.
I spotted water accumulating near the Oh-sht handle and the inside dome light.
Water appears to be running down from the ceiling down the plastic part in between window and windshield, all the way down to my left foot, near the parking break.
Some things I have tried already:
wiped sunroof seal clean, there was a lot of gunk. Removed any and all leaves I found near the windshield and under the hood.
Checked all the gaskets around the door and windows for clogs etc
sorry to hijack but I am a noob and can't post my own thread.

RCI sliders ordered through the Thanksgiving sale. I went with aluminum for the weight savings and also I don't have any intention to take my brand new $37000 vehicle rock crawling anytime soon, so the aluminum should be plenty protection for my needs. In ten or twenty years when I go rock crawling I will buy different skids. YMMV.

I think the rear drain hoses come out in the vicinity of the rear wheel wells.
(At least they did on the 4th gen you can see the clear hoses coming down from the headliner near the C pillar if you remove the cargo area side panels... in fact onthe 4th gen you can see the left rear one if you look inside the jack compartment, just follow the clear tube down to the exit and then look for a similiar fitting on the opposite side)
If you look in post #2 picture you can see the path the rear drains take on the 4th Gen at least... http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27317 this may help find them on your 5th gen...

Canceled my 7 Years Extended Warranty with 4 years and 40k miles left on it. Unfortunately this service only works in USA, not in Europe, where the truck is going soon.
And because international shipping of any heavy part really sucks I ordered spare brakes from Camelback Toyota - I know I will need them in a year or two, so better to have them now while it will cost me nothing to move them with the truck.
BTW the same is with "gramma Tacoma", that is going there too.
Thanks guys for the Camelback Toyota "tip". Absolutely nice, friendly and understanding customer service, and only 2 days away from Sacramento. All parts I ordered are 27% off the list price, while my local dealer couldn't give me even 10% off list.
