Just got car back from dealership. Per them, when I took out stock head unit, I may have removed the wiring to instrument cluster. They had my car for 4 days and charged me a "diagnostic fee" for 380 dollars to basically reconnect a wire. I had a rear view dongle in place for the rear view camera override however was waiting on the AOB switch to arrive when this happened. I guarantee you I didn't pull the wire out because the vehicle was working fine for atleast a week because all manipulation behind the nav unit was done a week prior. I just needed to vent fellas and just be careful when you're doing stuff. I don't drink but tonight I may start.

Thank goodness I didn't see this before I started my adventure tonight of trying the "stealth" Cobra 75 install.. I was a nervous wreck as I've never done anything like this before and almost nothing matched the pictures as I have the Trail edition, not the SR5 and there's things in there that just didn't add up.. I got it done though!!!

it could have wiggled loose at any point man if it slid loose while you did the dongle work. I mean we all know (or at least i though we all did) that the mods we do can cause issues if we do something we don't think we did.
I think 4 days is a little obscene but electrical issues can be hard to figure out and trace. Though knowing i had just messed with the head unit a week prior i would have started there, but thats me.
glad it got all figured out, $380 does seem steep, but at least its fixed.

I found out how to remove the center console, scary how easy it was and unfortunately on the Trail edition, you can't mount it in the center console. I had to find another place. So, if you remove the cover next to the gas pedal and you can see where I installed it. I ran the radio cable under the center part and the electrical and antenna wire under the carpet. Haven't hard wired it yet, hope to do that today with the add a fuse or what ever it's called..
When you lift up on the center console, do it on the right side. You'll only be able to lift it about two inches, you'll need to unplug the rear window thingy, but it's right there. Then you'll be able to lift the whole thing out.. Oh, and take your shifter knobs off first. I zip tied the handset wire to the vent you'll see so that it wouldn't rattle..

Shot over to my friend's shop to dive a little deeper into an issue I've been having. Had to set up the stethoscope to really figure it out. First time using one of those and my jaw dropped. Pretty cool instrument. Turned out it's a bad wheel bearing...again as usual. This will be the 4th change out with them. I have experience in what bad wheel bearing symptoms are but this is the worst I've experienced it. It was so loud and violent, I thought my transmission or torque converter was going.

That's definitely annoying, but I can't believe you didn't think to at least check back there having just taken it out.
Way easy for a connector to get slightly jostled out and slowly disconnect over a few days with driving and temperature changes.

What an awesome day.
Sold off my AN-PVS14 (night vision), which now allows me to buy my wheels and tires. Called up SCS, ordered a set (the last set) of gunmetal gray scs sr8's!
Then, won in a raffle, a new smith and Wesson mp9 2.0 in FDE. Now need to order some tires. :clap2:

What did you get for the PVS14? Was it a factory build or did you put it together. I'm toying with stepping up to NV this year.
