Yes. They are two tone. They came with the vehicle.

I've been looking at small campers for the past few years, but I've never owned one. We have friends with everything from pop-ups to class A's and mega airstreams, no shortage of advice and we've spent time in all of them. Plenty of miles towing big heavy things under my belt, usually with a long wheelbase diesel but some with a 2 door wrangler. A few blowouts but I've never had any major towing issues. I still have access to a Duramax but wanted something small and lightweight that could fit my small family for short trips to the thousands of parks in the southeast and beyond. Will make tailgating nice, too.
After looking at everything on the market (Under 3000 pounds dry, accommodations for two adults/2 small kids) Rpod's appear to be well designed, and most of them I've looked at are well constructed with quality parts. In a previous life, I covered most of the companies in the RV industry as a vendor, my contacts all praised these campers. There is nothing else on the market (mostly due to litigation by forest river/berkshire) that is similar. It's been a learning experience for sure, but they are the best selling ~20-foot campers for a reason. We take delivery in two days or so.
To keep this somewhat 5th gen related: Seeking advice on what I can purchase today for OBD based monitoring of my fluid temps...scanguage type or phone based app/adapter.

I will get into trouble some day as 4Runner gives me more and more confidence while driving in the odd conditions or places I would never take any other car.
This weekend I was visiting my friends and drove through not plowed steep and icy road. I did not think twice, just switched to 4x4 and drove downhill like I would do on dry pavement. Nothing happened - the truck tracked the road like it was nothing.
Now when I was ready to come back I looked up at the steep ice-covered road and got worried. No chains, just BFG-KO2. I put 4x4 (high) and the truck drove uphill like nothing. I was stunned as I was expecting some excitement, but it was nothing. I guess with KO2 I don't need winter tires :naughty:

Terra Grapplers I had such high hopes for you.
Tested the tires on unplowed access roads. Squirrely as hell in 4h. 4lo not much better. Aired down to 20 psi. Better but tried turning around in trail to make another run. Got hung up in slight ditch decline. 4lo atrac, nope. Lock rear diff, unh uh. Shoveled a bit and tried crawl control, just ground away and polished the bowls deeper. Finally aired down to 15, shoveled some more and backed out. In all fairness though this was powder over icey crust on top of solid ice. On the snowy roads they did great. 4hi with terrain select on sand,mud keeps the truck stable in varying snow depths. I guess they will do for now. Eventually I will get Ridge Grapplers but for now I will get chains, probably v bars.

Today my 4runner helped save lives.
So I was having fun with my truck in a foot of fresh snow on a huge field by the water. I was testing the new KO2s. I noticed a police officer jump out of his car running towards the water. I asked if he needed help. He told me a car had gone through the ice somewhere close and they were trying to find them.
He asked if I was able to check at the tip of the field if I could see something since his car was no going through that deep snow. I said sure.
Well when i reached the tip I saw 3 black dots about half a kilometer from the shore. I floored it back to the cop and when I arrived the firefighters were there. One of them tried to come to me with a ford escape and go stuck. I explained where i saw the people. And before I knew it, they were tying a small inflatable boat behing the Runner and 4 of them jumped in the truck.
We arrived at the tip and they went in to save the people. Turns out one of them had severe hypothermia and they put her in the truck so I could take her to the waiting Ambulance.
So yeah, it was an intense day for my new baby. Not even 2000km, the first time in real snow and already it's saving lives. What a great day.

Added a few decals. Put a set of 3% American flags under the door mirrors.

I like the stickers! Just not sure I want to deal with a felony stop :hiding: not every officer realizes the difference between those ideals and that of the "sovereign citizen." - Then of course the officers that have no idea

Figured out that Trident gum (I used to smoke, now I chew gum) fits perfectly in the little change rest on the 5th gen

Just got it a week ago. Installed some husky weatherbeater floor mats. Removed the sr5 badges and dipped the front and back badges.

Well, I just drove like a mad man for the past 90 minutes to the Staging area for the Oroville Damn issues. It was quite shocking to see the mass evacuations and lines of vehicles leaving the area and you're the only sole driving to the area. I hope all of those evacuated do not lose a thing and have their homes to return back to.

But the bullet a couple weeks ago and bought the TRDP Garnish and grille. I was too antsy to wait for warmer weather so I mounted it in the relatively warm (for us recently) 42 degree day. I sat the garnish or something warm for a and hour or so while I prepped, disassembled, and reassembled. Cleaned, degreased, and heat gunned the bumper first as well. Went on without issue.
Bought this for the silver front and rear bumper trim pieces. Need to wait until it's warmer before I paint though. :twitch:
