What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Built a platform for my GSD. After starting my drawer/pull out kitchen she just didn't have enough room in the back of the 4R.





After our first ride, I decided I better add some grip tape, she was on ice.


2 tie downs and a bungee keep it secured incase we have a roll over, it's not needed for stability, the floor's high points yield a stable platform for the ply to rest on.

Beautiful! I know that trail well. In fact, I visited that part of "Jupiter" the first time I took my brand new 4Runner off-road last year.

Crazy nice day today hitting 68 degrees in February! Good day to wash off all that road salt/chemical grime. Also threw on my hood cowl brackets and pods.

Beautiful day in New Hampshire also!

Today changed oil & filter, transfer case and front & rear diff fluid. Yesterday had a local shop replace tranny filter and fluid, didn't feel like messing with it. Mileage 32k

Installed a permanent Duracell 3.1 amp in the front 12V plug for 2 phone charger. In 24min, my iPhone 6S charged from 14% to 100%.

I know you're running lt but damn, 4Runner's look so much taller without sliders.

Installed my Sdhq mob armor switch since my iphone 7+ in a life proof doesn't fit in my cup holder :twitch: Didn't realize how cramped for room the dash is so ended up making 90 deg bracket for the magnetic disc that bolts above the little pocket under the AC controls. The center of the dash is super simple to remove only 2 bolts hold the lower pocket in everything snaps back together nice and tight also.

Still have tons of access to the lower pocket and cup holder with the phone mounted it does block the button to recirculate the AC but the mount is magnetic so its no big deal. It was the only spot that didn't knock my knee, easily reachable from the driver seat, down low and not in your face.

Also the disc mounted behind plastic doesnt have a strong enough pull, first time hitting a bump offroad the mount will probably drop. Tried it with the passenger side trim about a inch under where the airbag on/off light is, no bueno.

A sad day today as my wife and I made the hard decision to trade off the 4runner for something less expensive, that will allow us some more cash flow for other things, namely the kids.

It was strangely hard to drive away after trading it in. Oh well, we ended up with a 2017 Kia Sorento that should serve my wife and kids well for their daily needs. I'll likely be buying an older 4runner (4th gen or early 5th) and building it for non-daily driver duties, but that'll likely wait for another year or so to begin looking.

I'll have some accessories for sale in another post (in the appropriate section). I have winter wheel/tire combo, Canadian cargo liner for 7 seater, cargo net, weather tech floor liners for 1st and 2nd row. I'd likely be willing to ship to established members if needed with the exception of the wheel/tires.
