Thanks man. I have a ridiculous amount of time in this little project and that means a lot. I appreciate it. :fro:
The rig gets a lot of looks when I take it out. From Jeepers to Toyotas to Subarus. Dudes have even rolled up next to me on the highways at speed and slowed down to give me a thumbs up. The public response has been at times overwhelmingly positive.

Monday night I drove out to Anza-Borrego for a brief overnight trip. I spent the night up on Pinyon Mountain.
In the morning I explored the trail there a bit, then headed south to the Carrizo Badlands. Only then did I begin
to see any significant amount of spring flowers, and even there the peak bloom is still probably a week away. I
also saw a lot of 5th gen 4Runners out there!

Removed LED low beams and replaced with HID low beams.
Nice. I had the CABRAC on my Tacoma and really liked it. I'm considering putting one on my TE.
How did the install go?
Thanks for the list/idea. I've always used a soft bag that I can take backpacking when with a group of friends. I also take the same kit for field work and camping. A hard case will be a nice addition to my EQ/emergency kit in the truck.
Seems either I'm always the responsible one looking after everyone in the backcountry or my friends are just morons in that setting... or perhaps both!:shrug:
it was uneventful, which is a good thing. I had to do a little finessing to get the rack lined up on the roof the way I wanted, and had to add a fender washer to the front supports so that the rack was only touching the spacers and not the roof itself. (not a big deal by any stretch)
looks awesome, can't wait to load it up and get out into the woods.
I have a kit I keep in my vehicle, a larger kit I take on trips, plus a small trauma kit (clotting agents chest seal, 4 x4's etc) that can fit in a BDU pocket or a backpack.
Only needed the big kit once, but that was enough. Which reminds me, I have to go through the kit I keep in the vehicle and replace all the wipes etc that can dry out.
all the kits include nitrile gloves, cpr mask, and hand sanitizer, which is amazingly effective.
