Traded the 2015 in for a 2016 and ditched the KDSS, been working on a few things the past few days.

-Warn 10s (control box near passenger side firewall)
-Factor55 Hawse 1.5 and Splicer
-Blue Sea (reinstall)
-Hood pin triggered hood light
-Budbuilt Diff Skid (very disappointed in fit/finish)
-Voltmeter and always hot USB charger
-Pioneer 8200NEX
-Remove rear bumper for SSS back bumper preparation (should be about 2 weeks out)

Any pictures of how the Pioneer NEX 8200 integrated into the dash? I have been considering this same unit. Thanks!

I think they got overloaded with orders from the deals offered. Mine took about 6 to 6.5 weeks. I received mine Monday. I'm still a little over a week from install. Looking forward to it now that I have all the parts.

I've been looking out for an Inferno Red 2015 TRD Pro for my twin bro, the only color he was interested in, and the rarest 4Runner of all time. The 2015 Inferno Red TRD Pro is a commemorative color for 2015 only, signifying the first time the 4Runner and all 3 Toyota trucks were available in a TRD Pro trim.

This past Friday an alert hit my inbox for a newly arrived Inferno Red gem in Los Angeles, CA with only 1500 miles...exactly 1500 miles on the ODO. Turns out a famous car collector had bought it and needed to make room for another collectable darling. I immediately phoned my bro and told him he had to book a flight to LA to buy this TRD TOMORROW. At 7am Saturday, the next morning, he flew down, bought her and drove her back to SF Bay Area where we ended up at a bar last night to celebrate.

Today we took her up to a nearby hill so I could hook up to the rear tow hitch and pretension my new winch line. Next up on the Inferno, ICONs, 285s, and much more. We'll probably do the twin thing and match things up.

I can't wait to drive the TRD Pro to compare it to my lifted KDSS rig. A write up on the differences between the 2016 Trail Premium (now TRD Offroad Premium) and characteristics coming soon!

Those 4Runners look so good next to each other. My Barcelona Red TRD Pro is on its way, but that Inferno Red is something else. I can see my brother and I in trucks just like these!

I've looked around for a rear spare tire mount but haven't had much luck. Which one are you using on your 4Runner?

Overall, not bad. I tried to use the original metal bracket figuring it would be more secure but the installation screws didn't align properly and prevented the radio from seating properly. There are plenty of good threads here that helped with my install but feel free to pm me if you have any question.

Will order a new face eventually as my paint work was shotty at best. May try to find something to replicate the black metallic from the original theme.

Ps. Definitely recommend the Idata Maestro for added features and data from your vehicle such as gauges and TPMS readings.

Wilco Offroad Hitchgate

Thanks for the compliment. The trucks do look great together and they definitely turn heads. Out here in the bay area, there just aren't that many 5th gens on the road, let alone real "rigs".

I wasn't too keen on replacing my OEM bumper with a heavy steel bumper with tire swing gate just yet so I opted for the reliable Wilco Offroad Hitchgate with the optional 2 jerry can trays, Hi-Lift jack mount plate and license plate relocation kit (not yet installed but soon). You can watch a video on Youtube where Eric demos the product on an older Jeep Cherokee. The price is pretty good in comparison to a full steel bumper and it's very solid, using the tow hitch receiver wedgeblock design.

I've customized mine a little, adding hardware that protects the Hi-Lift from bouncing around and/or scratching while mounted and also added ABS plastic spout cases for both fuel and water spouts that will attached to the jerry cans when in use. Overall, I really like the Wilco Hitchgate.

How do you like the idatalink Maestro with the Pioneer. We are doing a similar install today on my Fiance's FJ with a Kenwood with Maestro + Steering wheel controls, HDMI/USB input and connecting the sharkfin. Are you able to obtain individual tire pressures/door ajar etc?

I am thinking about doing a similar install in mine but then realized I can get most of the stuff I want with just getting an iPad and a OBDII BT module. The one nice thing would be having apple carplay available since Entune is terrible.

YESS!! Queen valley is the best place to shoot IMO. What were you driving? I've seen a lot of FJ's out there shooting but never anyone wheeling toyotas. Mainly razors and stuff
