Looks solid! Amazing the amount of work that can be done when given a break!

Took the family to SeaWorld. Since I'm a teacher, my son is only 2 and they have a promotion for kids under 5 being free (pre-school pass) we only needed to buy a ticket for my wife. They also had a beer and food festival, so we could drink and eat our way through the park all day.

Went to Bear Mountain this morning to take our 16 month old snowboarding. On the way back got popped by CHP for tint and not having a cover on my lightbar. CHP I see in LA County haven't cared all this time and I'm on the freeway every day for work.

New 17x8 XD wheels and 275/70R17 BFG KO2s. Long story, but third set of wheels and tires before hitting 10K miles, live and learn.

Had a little rubbing, so took off the mud flaps and pushed the liner in and so far so good. Going to trim the fender here a bit but leaving that to another day.

Did an oil change on my old Taco & the Runner. Then I got bored and wanted to see how well the PCV valve works on the Dual VVT-i motors in the 4runners so I took a quick look! It looked about average for the 15,000 miles on it but
I can see a good catch can in my future!

Today I had the Icon Stage 2 lift installed, replacing the Toytec TRD Pro front spacer/rear spring lift. Drives & looks fantastic!

Now just waiting on my C4 Fab sliders to get here!

Mounted Cooper ST Maxx 255/80/17 with SCS SR8 Matte Gunmetal 17x8.5 on stock suspension.

Looks awesome! I've been looking at these. I think they're a little wider than the stock trail wheels, but it almost looks like you've got a spacer in there as well. Is that just the wheel offset?

Thanks! I looked at hundreds of wheels and the moment I saw these it was number 1 on my list. Yes, stock width is 7.5". Yes, just the wheel offset.

Installed RCI skids. Took about 2hrs. I'm not feeling good about the gas tank skid as it has no side protection, leaving the plastic gas tank susceptible to puncture from side entry. After the install I figured RCI needs to redesign the gas tank skid and the rear diff skid. Gas tank skid needs to be protected on the side, the reardiff skid near driveshaft needs a redesign as it is too close to the driveshaft. I used some locktite for the screws on the rear dif..dont need that sh1t coming loose and scraping against my driveshaft.

Look at that exposed gas tank.

These are the stock skids I removed.
