What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Los Angeles air show this weekend, girlfriends company is one of the main sponsers for the show. So we get vip parking by the hangers and a private tent with a open bar lol

Leaving is a 2 lane road with a stop sign about 1.5 miles down, traffic was backed up for about a mile.
Saw a little trail off on the side of the road so we went for it, took us maybe 10 minutes to get home.

Where did you buy those? Or did you have them made?

I ordered the LED lights from LED Concept Lighting. I had to retrofit the headlights. It was pretty hard to open up the headlights housing because Toyota uses Permaseal. I put the headlights in the oven at 225F for 10min and still took 2 people to pull out the housing.

You gained a massive amount of clearance in the body mount but it may be all for not. Because the limiting factor is this part:

This is true. But that can be hammered inwards for clearance. I used a carriage bolt and a hammer. But the plastic trim will still be in the way.

I'll grab a picture of how far I had to cut those rocker panel caps back. But I think I finally have the geometry dialed in, I kept ripping them off when aired down at full lock.

Put the license plates on! LOL. At just 3 weeks old all we've been able to do so far is mount our basket and tint the windows. Hoping to switch out the wheels and tires but the wheels I want are currently backordered. Also, my buddy will be welding up some sliders but not until next month. Stay tuned for more "What I did to my 5th gen" in April.

My wife got my JBA UCAs in the mail today. Man I thought people were joking that Marlin sends a DVD about Jesus with every order. I will say that I can appreciate a small company with solid Christian values.

I got my UCAs uncoated so I can get them in the color I want.... I'm thinking a OME Yellow.

Just one more coat of glossifier and then let it set overnight! Looking forward to my whited out emblems. Gonna do the roof rails as well once I get my cross rails. Also did a little incognito patriotism.

Installed amber grill lights.

Used Oznium 16mm bullet LEDS and a couple of washers on either side of the grill. Found some t-connectors on Amazon that made for a simple install.

Came back from a trip with work to find this in my tire. Only 6,000 miles on the vehicle. Now I'm shopping for a new set of tires to replace the Duelers.
