I took Megaweapon out for some serious off-roading....
I got tired of exploring and off-roading in all the usual places, so I decided to go somewhere really remote.
It took some doing, but I finally found a spot that was WAY off the beaten path. Only three or four other
vehicles have ever even been there, and most of the place was completely unspoiled.
It's pretty desolate, though. Makes Death Valley look like Yosemite. Not a plant in sight, much less any
wildlife. But I had the whole place to myself and could go anywhere I wanted. Here's a pic...
On the downside, it was a lot colder than it looked, and the atmosphere left something to be desired.

diodedynamics tail as turn + brake mod, took the time to tap in some wires for some auxiliary tail/stop/turn leds. Had it on my previous truck, and had a spare set lying around. All led based tail llghts now.
also installed xenondepot h11 hid kit in 5000k
Did you swap out your fog lights as well?
Is this the kit you went with? I'm wanting to do the same thing, but wondering why I shouldn't go with a less expensive kit from a site like "HID Extra." Also, did you get the kit with or without CANbus?

No. Cheapest option it's $9.99. But worth it to me. From what I hear some dealers are hesitant to turn off seatbelt chimes.

NICE! Any issues wit the window seals? That's one of the best solutions I've seen to keep the vampires out.
Looks great. How do you like it? Has the weight up front caused much of an issue?

Fog lights not changed yet. I have a set of rigid fogs, but i'm waiting until after then new bumper before installing.
That is the same kit. This kit uses the nicer hyluxtek ballast.

Used the "utility" part of SUV. Brought home some steel to build a utility trailer. After changing the oil for the fist time myself - holy shit it's a lot of work to save about $10. Probably won't do that again myself. Got started building, but I only had around 3 hours so I got about half way done. These trailers are super easy to build. It's pretty easy if you have the right tools to build one and paint it in one day. This isn't my first rodeo. The first one took a bit longer.
The advantage to building myself is that I get a flat deck trailer without the side rails. The rails make a truss in the factory little utility trailers and use lighter steel that's cheaper and lighter - but less useful for me. I also get a 3,500lb axle so it'll haul some weight and I can pick the hub pattern. This one isn't intended to be an "offroad" trailer, but maybe the next one. For now I just need something to haul construction materials for a few home projects in the next couple months. Then I'll sell it and maybe build an offroad version with matching 4runner wheels and probably just a bit smaller with a longer tongue and a sealed locking box.
Anyway more of a did *with* my 4runner than *to* it other than the oil change and removed the snowplow mount for summer. The 4runner really is a master of multi-use vehicle.

Got my Cooper STT Pros in 295/70/17 installed and customized Proline4x4 R1 bumper knocked out this weekend. I am soooo happy with it all! Im going to do a proper shoot soon.

Most excellent - gonna have to make a set. The mosquitos here have FAA clearance so it's tough to do any driving away from the pavement with the windows down, much less stop anywhere. THANKS!

Hit up Last Chance Canyon near Mojave, CA. The group was made up of my Trail Premium, a buddy's 5th gen Limited, another buddy's 4th Gen, a 1st gen 4Runner, and a Wrangle TJ. Hit some technical spots that had changed since the last time, conditions had really changed due to the wet season since last September. Smashed up some of the skids, will have to check visually in the morning.

Installed this High End Child seat / Seat cover over the weekend. 
It was a fairly easy install and took about 5 minutes. If anyone had troubles with the pesky latch, feel free to PM me. :laugh: Keeps the little dudes shoes off the back of my seat and hopefully will catch the abundant amount of crumbs that falls from the seat.
Next weekends install is, coils and shocks. I hope that install goes just a easy.

No, we weren't camping, just a day cruise through the canyon (we were in there from about 2pm - 7pm). We did meet a guy with a black 5th gen with a rooftop tent and his buddy with a silver GX with rooftop tent at the Shell station in Mojave. They said they may camp but their immediate plan was to ride their quads.
Did you make the receiver hitch plug in helper? I need one of those!
