I thought I was 100% done with the build yesterday, but it just occurred to me I hadn't attached the table face yet or installed my Stone Brewery bottle opener. My wife was kind enough to let me have a few hours this afternoon.





I also put the fridge drop slide in, still trying to decide which side to mount it to.

After seeing everything I think I'm leaning towards the passengers side. The pros are: weight offset by gas tank, can still use top table if not fully removed, water tank is tucked behind the fridge slide so its out of the way (but still accessible when fridge is pulled out), and I can still fold down the 40/20 seats on the drivers side to sleep or pass through. The Con: I will no longer be able to see over my right shoulder when switching lanes.

I purchased them solely for the protection. They are designed and very well built. I will feel very confident in using them as jacking point and for sliding/teetering once I weld them to the frame. The M8 bolts make me a lil nervous.
I'm 6'3" so I don't really use them as a step but my wife sure appreciates them! The front has plenty of room to step on if used. The rear bump will help push the vehicle away from the rear tire/quarter in certain situations.
That rear bump is a great step to get upto my roof basket too. Good luck on your search!

You had yours powder coated? Does anyone ever do linex on these or is powder coating better? I don't think I am going to be serious enough off-roading to need to weld them on. I would think grade 8 bolts would be fairly stout but of course not as stout as welding them.

Not sure if I'm gonna powder coat or rattle can. Paint I can touch up real quick! LineX might not be a bad alternative. Haven't seen it done though. There are 12 8mm bolts on each side. Lots of hardware! Im not going to burn them in completely, just gonna wrap the corners a lil. They're freaking stout I'll tell ya that, heavy too!!

The range we were at was in Waxahachie, TX on FM 66. It's called Extreme Tactics and Training Solutions aka ETTS. It's on 210 acres, and when the range shut down for the day, we decided to climb the berms and then go into the natural terrain in the back pasture. Also, got to play in the creek a bit, but after the rain, it was near impossible to get traction without some heavy duty M/T tires. Everyone who went in the creek got stuck hwell: The berms we climbed are on the left and the creek I got stuck in was all the way on the top right of the pic.

Over the weekend installed Warrior Product roof rack, Rhino Nerf bars and Plasti-dipped chrome on the door handles, window sill and side & rear badging.

Next step swap the front and rear bumpers to the SR5/Trail
