Picked up my new 2016 TE w/KDSS in Flagstaff, Arizona today. Drove a rental car out from L.A. because Flagstaff was the closest place I could find a KDSS-equipped Trail.

Wasted no time breaking the tamper-proof seal -- took it right from the dealer's lot immediately onto some Forest Service roads which included one pretty challenging one. Even gave the front skid plate its first rock scratch!

So far it's exactly*what I was hoping for!

Thanks! I've always loved the Peaks and the area around Flagstaff too, so I wasn't fussed at having to drive out there to pick up the new rig. Where better to break it in? :bounce:

how does it ride?

It's firmer than stock, for sure, but with the compression adjusters set on full soft it rides great and has eliminated a lot of body roll and nose dive(under braking). It's much softer than my friend's Toytec ultimate lift. I have the coilovers set at 8 turns and I'm running Toytec superflex rear coils. My wife is 5 months pregnant and loves it, if that says anything.

Finally had some time to get back to the forum..... threw on my icon kit and wheels/tires. Definitely makes all the difference in the way it sits and looks. Haven't had a chance yet to hit the desert and put it through its paces, but soon.... very soon....

Missed opening day for lakes, but finally got the kayak out for some trout fishing!

Also, this was the first field test for my Thule/Frontrunner adapters. Worked great.

Stopped by the local dealer and had them program the key fob to roll down all windows when holding unlock, and deactivate the seat belt chime. They had no idea what I was talking about when I told them what I wanted done. I told them to check techstream and they found it, they were like how do you know about techstream...In and out in about 10mins.

I've thought about getting that done, but knowing my luck I'd accidentally hold down the button in my jeans pocket in my office one rainy day and let the truck get flooded.
