Looks good without the running boards. The black wheel trend is really played out in my opinion, and not helped by the fact that more than half the black wheels you see are just stock wheels covered with black plastidip.

My honest opinion is that you should put those KO2s on your stock wheels with the white letters out. It's a classic look and I think really nice tires on stock wheels looks better than just about all aftermarket wheels.

I could probably do any of those things haha, but i just did something simple to hold the phone. Might not be able to get that much of an angle though because of the shifter, but who knows, i had no intention of selling this part. I did get multiple request on instagram, but everyone has different phones, phone cases, and request, i dont know if i have the time to model each one or figure out a way to make it universal. I also cant keep using the company 3d printer. We'll see thought you never know. If i do decide to sell these you guys will be the first to know.

You should model one up with a Magpul case for iPhone. Then upload it to shapeways where we can then buy it. Ha ha

Yes!!! And I can say that every good thing I have read about the FN wheels and Dustin on this forum were true. Amazing customer service and a very nice product... looking forward to seeing how they hold up on the trails.

Went mucking around Little Moab (Mini Moab) in Lehi, UT for a few hours and got to test out the new suspension. The OME's ride harsher and firmer on road for sure but when you're off road you really notice the benefit over the stock suspension. On the stockers I would notice the car would just keep bouncing and bottoming out on higher speed dips. Stuff would rattle and shift all over the place. With the OME it stayed composed, planted, and I never felt like the car just kept on bouncing on end. It handled pretty much any obstacle really well.

Also did some mild rock crawling but for a newbie like myself there were certainly some "uh oh, here we go" moments. A few observations. One, a spotter would really help. I did my own spotting getting in and out of the car checking my lines. So that was kind of a hassle. Two, I only rubbed my skids once without any damage but my rock sliders saved my side and rocker panel. I'd say behind tires a set of sliders is #2 in mods especially if you're doing any rocky stuff. Three, 4Lo and A-trac handles pretty much anything. Only threw on my locker once for a more difficult section but I probably didn't need to. And lastly, air down when you need to and have a air compressor to air back up.

Overall good learning experience, had a lot of fun, and definitely know your limits when going alone. I stuck to mostly things I thought I could handle and the 4R did so with ease.

Those are all good points that you have mentioned. Prior to getting my 4runner I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I would take on solo fly fishing trips out into the backcountry. I got into a number of oh crap situations that I wasn't sure if I would get out of by myself. In the end I did but it's definitely wise to know your limits. The jeep did everything I wanted it to do. I have not yet had the time to put my Toyota to the test but I am fully confident in it and looking forward to my first opportunity. With the off-road features that it has I'm certain that it will perform better than the jeep.

Good post. Know your limits, have a plan and recovery points. And if you're by yourself be more conservative.

What OME's did you go with (light, med or heavy) and did you go with ONE shocks with the springs or an alternate line vilstune etc.

Dilemma: How to safely transport a 9' fully rigged fly rod in the T4R.



Explanation: Yes, I know that breaking it down is the safest option but it takes time. When you are driving from one part of a river to the next, or are fishing where it may be crowded, the ability to park and GO, can be essential.



Options: Internally mounted overhead rod rack-T4R is too short and the angles on the ceiling don't work. External rod box like a Rod Vault or Big Sky Rod Box-expensive and don't have one yet (that will be my ultimate solution after my Gobi Stealth arrives; if it ever arrives.



Solution: Drop the pass through on the back seat. Place reel on rear edge of cargo liner. Cut a couple of knotches in a piece of foam pipe insulation (a DIY secret weapon BTW), velcro to carpet on back of pass through seat, and Bob's your uncle!



It works in the driveway; I'll see how it works on the road.

Dude, grab a piece of PVC pipe from Lowe's / Home Depot, glue on female to threaded female to ends , get 2 male plugs.. paint whatever color you want , secure to roof rack ... if you are exceptionally clever, you could make it into a dual purpose potato / pumpkin cannon , if you are exceptional [emoji12][emoji1360]
