Not quite today but I got to mount up the SCS Ray 10's. Got some rubbing on full lock while backing up so I'll be taking the razor blade to the bumpers today

Those are stock fog lights with Laminex film over them. I have been debating about upgrading them to something aftermarket but I'm not sure about the gaps that they all tend to have.

Left my 4runner on the side of the road 200 miles from home to take the adventure on foot into the Golden Trout Wilderness with my 2 bestfriends since highschool. 2 days, 18 miles total, with 65lb pack's.
We were originally planning on 3 days and making it to Kern Lake 32 miles total. Ended up cutting it short after my boots DNFing and leaving me with a bloody heel 4 miles in and hiking the rest of the trip in vans that were a half size to small, my buddy coming within inches of stepping on a juvenile mojave rattlesnake, and my other buddy cutting his hand while cutting firewood. It was a shit show but definitely a good time.
The rattlesnake incident could have gone bad in a instant it was a eye opener and rattlesnake avoidance training has moved up to top priority over hunting training for the pup especially with how often me and my girlfriend are out hiking with the dog and I plan on taking him backpacking once he's a little older.
Glad we called it short because the hike out we hit a high of 93 on the last uphill section that has zero shade and Sunday was supposed to be hotter. Then on the drive back into kernville was kookville I've never seen that many easy up's and tents blowing away in the wind, seriously every camp site was overflowing with people. Had a late lunch and some beers at kern brewery then headed to a secret little cove I found last time at Lake Isabella got there and the fish were jumping out of the water. Didn't catch anything tho but that was fine with me, gave us time to laugh about everything and talk about the next adventure.
Now next Monday Maui for 2 weeks

Lake Isabella aka Kooksville. Miss having stake pockets on a truck bed having to make due and find other spots for a rod holder

Installed my new Shrockworks sliders...I have to say they were worth the wait. Look great and stick out just enough to be useful as sliders and as a short step.

Then, went camping at Moses Lake, WA with my friends for Memorial Day. Slept in the back of the truck, it really does make a great tent. I didn't get to the dunes (with the 4runner) but some of my buddies did. I will get out on them next time.

Been spending some time up in the Grand Lake area lately in and near Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Lots of wildlife, beautiful area.
Also found an older trail edition rack from another local forum member and swapped it out with my stock rack, really pleased with it - stripped the HELL out of a screw when installing it though and have been unable to remove it even using one of those little kits - any ideas? In the meantime I plugged the area around it with some silicone but I'd love to get the damn thing out and zip a new one in there properly.

That guy is a genius! I'm working with him to get a custom mount made for my bass knob. Which model of SwitchPro mount did you get that worked with the 4Runner?
