What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

That guy is a genius! I'm working with him to get a custom mount made for my bass knob. Which model of SwitchPro mount did you get that worked with the 4Runner?

I have the flat mount.

Been spending some time up in the Grand Lake area lately in and near Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Lots of wildlife, beautiful area.

Also found an older trail edition rack from another local forum member and swapped it out with my stock rack, really pleased with it - stripped the HELL out of a screw when installing it though and have been unable to remove it even using one of those little kits - any ideas? In the meantime I plugged the area around it with some silicone but I'd love to get the damn thing out and zip a new one in there properly.

Beautiful indeed. I wish NJ had places like that to visit. And that rack looks awesome!

Installed a Thule bike rack for tomorrow's 7th wedding anniversary trip with wifey. Going to ride some paths and then go on some trails with the 4R.

Also parked across from this Limited at Auto Zone.

I know it's 4wheeling, but think of it like billiards, it's all in the angle of the dangle not how hard you swing your cue. I bet you conquer that next time if you approach differently, and thank goodness for recovery gear!

I'm picking up our bikes from my parents' house tomorrow so I'll update on how it is with the bikes on them. As far as the bike rack itself, it is heavy duty and very sturdy. I read on some reviews that the bolt that runs through the rack and hitch was short and people didn't feel confident in it so they bought this:

However, based on one of the reviewers, instead of paying another $60, purchase these items and make one yourself... and much more secure as well, not having to worry about anyone taking off with your rack while you're out riding somewhere:



M12 1.75 80 mm bolt (make sure it's full thread!), two M12 washers, one M12 lock washer (from Home Depot - $5) and one wheel nut lock (from Auto Zone $12).



This is my setup now and it's super secure... no one is stealing this rack.

Also, the tilting feature is awesome and works very smoothly and flawlessly. So far so good!

Yes, the Trailway Model. It uses a lever release and it's very simple and convenient.

Picked this up yesterday. 88' 22re automatic. Slow motion rider. Might be feeling swappy in the near future. Body and Frame seem pretty solid though. Pretty Psyched about it.

I'm contemplating getting the Dual Electronics xGPS150A (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006M49G80/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I26MVLKQUPOBQX&colid=1ESL5PX6P6SV3) to pair with my wifi only iPad Air 2. For software, I'm looking at Navmii and CoPilot to get offline maps and navigation assistance. I understand there are apps that will give nav guidance off-road, but I haven't researched those as much. Do you have recommendations based on your setup?
