Just hit 2000 miles so did my first oil and filter change. OEM Toyota synthetic oil and filter. Also replaced the crappy plastic oil filter housing cap with a metal one.

Why not? Get the break in crap out, fresh oil and filter in. I'll do it again when I hit 5K and every 5K after that. I know, I know, Toyota says 10K miles. Not happening, no thanks, 5K is all I'll go. $50 oil change is well worth my peace of mind.

We got a new SR5 4x4 a couple days ago and so far the only thing I've done is added the AVS bugflector and some seat gap storage dealios. Ran mount is inbound, tint and weathertechs, then TRD Pro wheels and steps are next.

Beautiful truck! It'll look great with the matte black TRD wheels also. One thing you need to watch is the holes you drilled to screw that bug guard to the hood. They rust quickly and lead to sheet metal rot. Also be sure to clean under it very well. When stuff gets under it, it sits between the bug guard and hood and if it stays wet, it can lead to rust along the lip of the hood.

It has been a while. I replaced the chrome lug nuts with black ones, installed oem caliper covers with aftermarket high temp decals, and changed the rear amber signal to red. Enjoy!

Im interested in more info on caliper covers as well...everything i have found online says min 18" wheel required, and clearly you have 17" trd wheels.
Could you provide brand product numbers?

The AVS doesn't require any holes to be drilled, it has plastic clips that slip into factory holes under the hood.

I also added 1/4" neoprene grommets to add a gap between the rock deflector and the bottom of the hood to allow water and debris to drain.

The AVS was a great buy, half the price of the OE shield even with my pricing, and installed in about 5 minutes.

The AVS doesn't require any holes to be drilled, it has plastic clips that slip into factory holes under the hood.

I also added 1/4" neoprene grommets to add a gap between the rock deflector and the bottom of the hood to allow water and debris to drain.

The AVS was a great buy, half the price of the OE shield even with my pricing, and installed in about 5 minutes.

Sweet! I'm glad they changed up their mounting design. I remember seeing so many rusted up hoods years ago because of the bug guards. Made them not worth it, easier to clean bugs than fix rust!

Not today, but last weekend...mounted up an ARB 2500 awning to a 3-bar Yakima system using Bomber Products Awn-Lock Mounts. So glad Yakima makes an option for adding a third crossbar above the front doors on the 4Runner!

The stock suspension was really soft in comparison. Steering and especially braking was mushy and nose divey. So far the Icon is tight in a very good way. Better feel, more control. My friend got his 2014 T4R Limited done with the same kit on the same day and he had a chance to get his in the dirt and is raving about how great it is.
