Just spent 5 days near Big Lake in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Had tons of fun fly fishing, hiking and general loafing, with no cell phone or computer. Too bad we had to come back to PHX...yuk

Had a rough day saying bye to my beloved 4th Gen in Shadow Mica
. Picked up a 2016 base SR5. I miss my sunroof.
Put the wife to work immediately on installing some NFab steps:
Took a trip to meet a fellow member to pick up some wheels! Unfortunately I sold them soon after as the offset was going to be too aggressive for me. Hope I can snag a set in the next batch!
Ordered TRD grill, mesh, lower valence, and rear logos to be painted gloss black. Need body shop to install the lower valence but it looks way better already!
Ordered Phillips HID and Baja amber fogs. While waiting for them to come in I plastidipped the rear emblems. Funny enough I used the same plasti dip I had purchased 3 years earlier to use on the 4th Gen, I just never ended up using it!! Crazy and it still worked nice and fresh.
Also in keeping with the purpose of this thread... today I ordered new tires despite not having wheels yet!!

Is this part of the black river/area aswell? I know it's in the A/S forest but never been to the region. Other vacation plans might be in the gutter and I was looking in that area for some cool weather, fishing and general fartin around

Those are both the Black River. The pastoral looking section is the East Fork, near Buffalo Crossing, the steep section is a hard to reach part of the West fork. If you are looking for lake fishing I would recommend Big Lake, Reservation Lake (you'll need a Res. permit) or Luna Lake. Crescent does have some big fish, but has weed and algae bloom problems. For river fishing: The Black is the easiest to get to, Little Colorado can be fun, but many parts are crowded and of course Silver Creek.
The monsoon started there while we were camping, and it was finally cooling off our last day. Enjoy!

While turning around after posing my truck, lol, I found a surprise dropoff and used one of my sliders.
Cleared another 1/2 mile of trail, in an ongoing effort to reach a remote valley which I think has tree porn and Indian sites.
Visited a petroglyph site, but had to dodge some stalker landowner on a quad. LOL again, trying to sneak up on me while driving a quad. I was on public land, but really didn't want to deal with the idiot. I notice he put up new signs this year....

Completed install of my 2 meter radio and Scangauge II.
Got an update on the hail repair
I got an email update on my hail damaged baby and the repairs. New roof came in and was ok to use. Apparently the get damaged a lot in shipping. Newest updated ETA is 3 more weeks.
Side note. Current delivery estimate is 2 days before the appointment that I have with Gobi to install the roof rack.
I'm tired of not having my 4Runner and driving the minivan but, I want it fixed right.

Yes they are Matte dark bronze. I originally had Method NV in Matte black but seen waaaaaay too many 4Runners with that same exact setup so I had to switch it up.
