What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Welds look like I have parkinson's, it's been a minute and I've been having to weld off my cab dolly since I don't have room for my welding table in my garage currently. ]

If you've got Parkinson's, I've got turrets! Don't be so hard on yourself, lookin good, well thought out! I've made my own aswell so I know the joys of test fitting to perfection! Looks like your graced with concrete to work on, all gravel for me, only thing creepin was the ants and bugs

I got the Toytec 2" lift and some 285/70's toyo r/t. Great add! I have my fog lights and Aiden James bezels to put on tomorrow.

Scouted out a (new to me) remote area for backpacking and camping. Wilcox Lake Wild Area. Was able to drive quite a ways in but a swollen creek forced me to park and hoof it the rest of the way. Ran into a couple of guys on quads who have a hunting camp nearby, they said it's prime moose and bear country. I'll definitely be returning.

Got the final estimate on the damage from when my parked Runner got hit in the parking lot...$9500 and It will take them 4-6 weeks to get it completed. Have to replace both doors, the fender, and he said there is extensive damage to the A pillar... No way my less than a year old vehicle is going to be the same again

Yesterday I finally got around to trimming a couple inches or so off the rear mud flaps:

Stock, they tend to get pushed against the tires when backing up in brushy areas, then when you pull forward the whole thing gets yanked off. Had this happen to me on my Nevada trip last year, and wanted to get them trimmed before this year's trip, which I'll be taking in about a week. Anyway, I just used a DeWalt multi-saw with a 7tpi blade. Made quick work of it, though the edge is a bit rough.

I'm still debating whether or not to trim the front flaps too.

Also, I've had several people come up and compliment my 4Runner in the past few days, which has been very gratifying.

Took her out out to NE and back - for the week of the 4th. So far she is exactly what we wanted.

Very nice, but was the fog light design square from the start or was it a cost decision? Round would look so much better.

It wasn't square from the start, we tried to make it as flush as possible. Just gives it a more slicker look from our perspective.

Lol thanks I'm just picky with high expectations, I should of went to my buddys shop and tigged them but then again they are sliders so they are going to get beat on.

And nice do you have any pics of your sliders? Bolt on or welded to the frame? Only thing I'm second guessing is mine being bolt on is the m8 hardware seems small.

Haha but the concrete gets so hot tho! Its been over 100 the past week, the day I was cutting the frame plates it was 109 in my garage

Installed the XenonDepot HID kit last night. For some reason, I couldn't get the lights to go in with the provided seal on the base of the bulb, so I swapped it out with what came on the stock bulbs. Otherwise, incredibly easy install.

Tin snips would of left a cleaner cut. Also laying out masking tape and drawing a line helps get a visual and also a guide to follow with the snips.

Drove out to PA and picked up 2 285/70/17 KO2s dirt cheap. Just a bit of tread left to for a spare. One is getting mounted on my spare; left at the shop. Posting the other one in the classifieds section.

installed spacers.. looks so much better. also plastidipped the toyota and 4runner emblems which was kind of a pain


I am hearing a lot of noise now with the lift when i hit bumps going fast.. Like a little jingle. I checked all the bolts i touched when installing the lift and they all seem to be tight

Check the little C-Clamps on the top of those dust cover things. They are hard to see unless your wheel is drooped a bit, but mine jingle and drive me nuts. They may be on the UCAs. I'm struggling to remember exactly where they are, but I am 100% positive that is where my jingle comes from.

I'll try to remember and snag a photo if I can.

Been meaning to silicone them in place or something.
